An afternoon out

"What do you think?" Dee asked, twirling in front of the mirror. She was wearing a light blue dress that showed off a fair amount of cleavage, the hem falling to her ankles and leaving slits up the sides. She had a pair of matching heels on her feet.

"Stunning," Jayden said. He sounded like he meant it too. She walked over and kissed him, leaving a smudge of lipstick on his lips. She wiped it away with her thumb, eyes noticing her newly done nails. All Jayden's treat.

"I feel like a princess when you do this, but you know you don't need to, right?" Dee asked.

Jayden gave her a look, then sighed. "I... I haven't really done this before. You remember that, right?"

Dee frowned, turning away from him and looking back at the mirror. Her hair had been done, too. Curled and styled. It looked as amazing as everything else did. She really loved how she looked right now. She **** a smile that felt more genuine the longer she held it. "Y-yeah, I know..." she said. Turning back to Jayden, she kept the smile on her face. "I remember the coins and what we did, obviously, but... I don't know. This all feels pretty right, you know?"

Frowning a bit, Jayden nodded. "Yeah, I kinda do."

"Anyway, we don't need to stress about it, right? We have our plans and we're gonna...?"

"We'll follow through." Dee beamed at Jayden's confirmation and they went to the front to pay for the outfit. He had already bought new clothes for himself, a nicer shirt, slacks, belt, and shoes. That done, they left arm in arm. and headed out to the restaurant he had chosen, one of the fanciest in their city.

The entire time, Jayden kept the silver coin in his pocket while Dee kept the silver tucked into her bra.
