New type of soul bonds, tracking and body modification

You flip through the pages and finally stumble upon the notes your mom’s secretary Tecna found on Diana’s mods. Thanks to the constant business and connections between your dad’s company and Roger Hoofer’s, we were able to get all the details of the mods Diana has.

“The 334b78 honeymoon package is a prototype mod package being tested by the Flora brand under Alterise,” you read aloud. “It started development a few months ago…huh it was less than a week after Starfire disappeared.”

“What do the mods do?” Diana asked to refocus you. You blinked, shook your head and continued.

“It looks like the mod package is supposed to create a bond either magical or spiritual between the character and the one who takes their virginity. The character will want to stay close and as their relationship builds between them, they will eventually feel each other’s emotions and share thoughts,” you raise an eyebrow. “I am not seeing anything new or different from any other soul bond mod.” You flip the page and see additional notes.

“Oh here we go, it’s supposed to retroactively form a bond so that the character and owner immediately feel a connection when they first meet,” you say in surprise. “That could be very dangerous since it could influence their minds both the character and the owner as they grow up.”

“Could that be why I immediately trusted you when we met,” Diana asked

“Maybe?” You say unsure as you continue reading.

“You are not installing that mod on me,” Gogo replies with a glare.

“I don’t think you have to worry about that; I don’t think RealDreams or Rein Corp will allow this mod to go to market, its potentially too dangerous,” you say a little interested in the mechanics of how the mod would work; would it be retroactive to the point they entered our universe or will it reach to their home universe. Something you wanted to voice but really couldn’t was that the mod would be great for characters who couldn’t get sent back to their home universe either due to its destruction, invasion or because they don’t want to go back. Anyone with this mod would likely just have an exact clone put in their place with none the wiser in their home universe.

“Is there anything else?” Katara asked, curious and concerned.

“It looks like there are two other main parts of the mod package,” You reply as you hand them to Diana who got out of the pool.

“The owner/one who took my virginity would eventually be able to feel where I am at all time and my body will slowly change to what they consider an idealized version,” she reads in a little concern.

“That feeling where the character is located would have been useful in finding Starfire and the bond would’ve let us communicate,” you noted.

“Maybe Hoofer started the mod due to what happened with Starfire?” Laura asked, sipping a beer. You are taken back at that idea; considering he’s dad's friend he might’ve gotten the idea for the mod package from dad, something to find out about later.

“I am not sure, I’ll ask when I meet him,” you finally say. You continue to look through the folder with Diana for a while longer while the others either drank or swam.

“It looks like I was given to his grandson Lester to be a blind test, Roger Hoofer fully expected Lester to have...relations with me and he would get information on it for improvements,” Diana reports as she finds a list. “There a several other characters with the mods distributed to various people, but it doesn't say if they knew about the mods.”

“Lester was definitely surprised at the amount of money spent on you,” you replied. “Though that doesn't tell us if he knew about the prototype mod or what it did. He wouldn't have used you as a pony if he knew most likely.” We made small talk while making our through the last few pages. That was until Gaige spoke up.
