Waking up to the new normal

You woke up has the memories of the life you set up settled in though you made sure it’s separated from your old life memories. You are Doctor Orion Grant one of the best scientists in the United States. You got up from the bed having been cleared by Doctor Sarah but haven’t left the infirmary in a week which is concerning(note will mostly doing this has the character has lived in the universe unless his powers are used or something about the future, events that are happening, or out of universe knowledge.)

You greeted Sarah and the nurses Amy and Himi as you thought on the past week. You had heard something about faulty rad shielding on the men’s living quarters, the idea of men and women living separately made no since if you take account of families that no doubt came together so this has to be intentional. Aside from a social experiment this doesn’t make any sense, and if so what does this say about the other Vaults and Vault Tech has a whole… Anyways the fact you hadn’t seen any of the other men meant they couldn’t be saved which is worrying and you hoped all of the men haven’t been killed, though part of you doesn’t mind the idea of a vault full of lovely women all to yourself.

The door to the rest of the vault is opened as a couple of women you haven’t met before step in. “Mr. Grant it’s good to meet you, my name’s May, the new Overseer, the last one was still outside when the bombs fell. Sorry for keeping you in here for a week but we needed to check the rest of the vault.” One of the women says to you, she is a white woman who looks to be in her 20s, with red hair d-cup bust, and a lovely ass. The two with me are Chief Engineer Dani and Chief of the vault police. The chief engineer is an ebony skinned gal with short black hair in her early 30s, with b-cup breast, and a heart shaped ass while the police chief is white in her late 20s, brown haired, dd-cup bust, and a shapely body.

“It’s fine, Overseer. But I take I’m the only man still alive in the vault?” You asked even if you knew it before you came into the universe. “Unfortunately yes and it’s not just because of someone getting sloppy.” May informs you. “Vault Tech made it so, just great. So how many of the Vaults control units and how many of the rest or more experiments.” You say to yourself to the surprise of the three women in front of you. You look up before introducing yourself to them. “I am Doctor Orion Grant, a scientist with a dozen doctorates to my name in different fields. What you said has only confirmed my worries.” You explained to them as you sit down on a chair.

“Well has you said it was Vault Tech’s doing although what you said doesn’t make me feel any better than before. Still we will only be able to keep the vault running for about 40 years at most before we start running out of people. With you being the only male left that means you are going to have to impregnate every woman at least once.” May tells you. You sighed but nod in agreement.

“I understand though I wish this was because of a fuck up, not intentional. You say to them before you got up from the chair. The Overseer nods in agreement before she left with the other two women who came with her and the Doctor Sarah and nurses, after asking you to stay in the infirmary till she explains everything to the rest of the vault with a cover story for the faulty rad shielding, which you agreed to wait till Doctor Sarah and the nurses return. Half an hour later you heard the call on the vault speaker system for everyone to meet at the vault cafeteria. It was another hour before the doc and nurses came back to the infirmary. Once they did you started packing up the items that you had when the FEV was spilled on you to move into your personal room which was the overseer’s personal room and it wasn’t in the men’s dorms.
