On the roof, with Takara, Rei, Hisashi, and Morita

"Move it!" Takara yelled as the group of four rushed up the roof. Going up had seemed the better idea as Them were downstairs attacking their panicking classmates. But unfortunately, there was a good number of _Them _on the roof too. Mr. Takayama was trying to fight the monsters off, but it was clear he'd be overwhelmed soon. Takara Komuro and her friends, Rei Miyamoto, Hisashi Igou, and Kouji Morita, rushed up more stairs. However, one of Them managed to grab Rei and pulled her toward it.

"Ah!" Rei cried out. "Let go!" The guy that grabbed her managed to get her by the arm, meaning Rei couldn't get her impromptu spear positioned right to attack. One of its hands pulled Rei toward it while the other started tugging at its pants.

"Rei!" Takara and Hisashi exclaimed. Kouji was the closest to Rei, and despite being scared, he did the right thing and tried to push it off her. Unfortunately, Kouji put his hand near the attacker's mouth, and it immediately bit down. Kouji cried out in pain, but by then, Hisashi had managed to smash its head.

"Hisashi!" Rei said in relief before hugging her boyfriend.

"You okay, Morita?" Takara asked Kouji.

"Y-yeah..." Kouji said as he inspected his hand. His left middle and index fingers had deep gashes, but that shambling man didn't get through the bone, so Kouji assumed he'd be alright.

"Come on!" Hisashi called. "There's more of Them coming!" Takara glanced over and saw that their fight had drawn more of _Them _to their group. Kouji and Takara followed Rei and Hisashi up the stairs to a balcony with a supply closet. Opening it, Hisashi and Takara quickly made themselves a barricade out of tables and tape. Safe for the moment, the group tried to calm down, but it was no use. Looking out into town and the large plumes of smoke told everyone that whatever was happening at school was happening everywhere else too. Feeling overwhelmed Takara couldn't help but yell out:

"What the hell is going on?!"
