Return home.
Enter the living room.
When I arrived home I noticed my dad was sitting in the living room and when I was passing him to go upstairs he called me.

- "Lucy, hey darling."
- "Hey Dad, what's up?"
- "How was your day?"
- "It was, let's say, eventful. And how is your work?"
- "Good to hear darling. My work is going well. Actually, I wanted to ask you something."
- "Sure, what is it, Dad?"
- "My boss is looking for an assistant for the next few weeks and I was wondering if you would like to try?"
- "Me? Are you sure? I don't have any experience."
- "Come on honey, you have the best grades and you're a math wizard. I am sure it's nothing you can't handle."
- "I am not sure."
- "I might get a promotion if I recommend someone solid. And I trust in you darling."
- "Umm, if you say so. So what should I do?"
- "Here is my boss's email address, he asked that you send him your cv and your photo in somewhat office attire."
- "OK, I'll do it in a moment."
- "Thanks, darling, and I'm sure he will pay you a fair amount for your work too."
As I went upstairs I thought about the potential prospect of having a second part-time job. That would boost my income not to mention the potential experience I might get from that gig. I started to get excited, and for sure I didn't want to pass on that opportunity.
I've prepared my cv rather quickly. It looked terrible, it was almost an empty sheet of paper with my name written on it. Now I begin to panic. What if there are better candidates than me? My only choice left was to boost my chances with a good photo.
