Send Roxy

“Can you make it to town and get someone here fast?” you ask Roxy. She’s shaken, but not seriously hurt. If anyone can do this on foot in the cold, it’s her.

“I guess I’ll have to. Are you going to tell me what’s going on? Who that is?” she asks, brushing herself off and taking a deep breath.

“She’s with the university. She doesn’t like what I’m doing about the Sissy situation.” That’s all you have time for.

“Never thought I’d be glad I didn’t go to college,” Roxy mutters, going to the door. She looks worriedly at Karen, who shivers in Kris’ arms. “I’ll be as quick as I can.” She opens the front door, and a gunshot makes you jump. Roxy cries out and crashes to the floor. Lisey scrambles over her and shuts the door, staying down.

You ready the shotgun, but you aren’t sure where the shot came from. Somewhere outside the front door, but where? It’s dark out there.

Lisey is already with Roxy, who is bleeding from her shoulder. Her jaw is tight, but she’s not making a sound. She doesn’t want to give Mavis anything to shoot at.

Mavis must have Sissy’s gun. How many bullets do you have? Can you even hit anything with this thing? There’s no time to think. Everyone’s on the ground, still shaken from the car hitting the tree. Now your ears ring from another gunshot and Roxy’s bleeding. Mavis is committed… it was naïve of you to think that she would give up after she has already killed at least two people. She can still salvage this situation if she stops you all from talking.

You have to do something.

Try to cover the windows with something and barricade the door?
