In the castle

"Now we will prepare the sacred child for her quest." The royal looking woman said. "And then she shall go forth and save us all!"

The crowd erupted in cheers. The woman came to Lauren and put a hand over Lauren's shoulder. She turned and led Lauren into the castle, Sir Marlis following close behind as the crowd roared.

They entered into a lush hall. The woman turned towards Marlis.

"Good work sir knight!" She said gratefully.

"Thank you, my queen." He bowed deeply.

Then the Queen turned to two female servants waiting nearby.

"Get her cleaned up and ready." The Queen ordered. "I will send word to the mage Barla, who will wish to see the sacred child herself."

The queen bent and put her hands on Lauren's shoulders.

"You are our only hope." She said gravely. "I know you will save us all."

With that the queen and Sir Marlis turned and walked away. The two servants began guiding the totally in shock Lauren into a side room...
