Chapter 2 by globalman1235 globalman1235

Who ends up finding the case?

You and your friend Rosa

The alarm on your wrist-mounted Xtransceiver went off, signaling to you that it was now 08:30 AM. You looked over your stuffed bag, having spent most of your morning to prepare it with everything you'd be needing on the journey you would soon begin. Having just recently celebrated your eighteenth birthday, you had finally reached the age necessary to start your very own Pokémon journey. Switching off your alarm, you knew you had to get on your way soon to make it to your meeting spot in time. Thus, you grabbed your bag and slung its strap over your shoulder before moving over to your desk. On it laid your very own Pokédex, which your parents had gifted to you in anticipation of your upcoming journey. Picking it up as well, you slid it into your back pocket before heading for the door and leaving your room. Having said your goodbyes to your family, you left your house through the front door and made your way towards your chosen meeting spot.

Aspertia City was a smaller city located in the southwest of the Unova region, not really standing out all that much when compared to other sites in the region. That didn't mean that there was nothing of note to the city though, as it did host a Pokémon Gym inside the local trainer school and had a lookout at the mountainside northwest of the city providing a great view of the surrounding area. Still, life in this city tended to be rather uneventful in the grand scheme of things. You yourself were currently on your way to the aforementioned lookout, upon which you and your friend had agreed upon as your meeting spot from which you would start your journey together. Walking up the stairs to the platform, you checked your Xtransceiver once more to see the digits on its display switch to your agreed upon meeting time of 09:00 AM. Looking back up from your wrist, you took the last few steps to the lookout and were greeted by the sight of your friend Rosa sitting on one of the benches as she waited for you. Having noticed your arrival, she got up and headed over to you to greet you.

"Hey Nate! I'm glad to see that you made it on time," your friend Rosa smiled as she waved at you.

"Morning Rosa!" you greeted her with a smile of your own. "Do you really think I'd be late for this?"

"I wouldn't put it past you," she shrugged. "You do have a strong habit of sleeping in, you know?"

"I get up on time when it counts, so that's not a problem," you replied. "Anyway, let's finally get started with our journey!"

"Oh, absolutely!" Rosa beamed with another smile. "We should go get ourselves our first Pokémon now. You do have your Pokéballs with you, don't you?"

"Of course I do," you nodded, patting your bag in response. "Now, let's head out of the city to find some Pokémon."

The two of you made your way down the stairs of the lookout and headed towards Route 19 in the north of Aspertia. You quickly passed the rather short distance and soon reached the path winding through the wooded landscape. In order to catch your first Pokémon, you decided to leave the main path and head deeper into the woods in the hopes of increasing your chances. However, even after quite a while of walking in the shadow of the trees, you still hadn't encountered even a single Pokémon. Eventually, you and Rosa came across a small clearing with only a few flowers and some rocks dotting the otherwise grassy space. Deciding to take a short break for the moment, both you and Rosa went to put your bags down next to one of the trees on the side of the clearing before sitting down closer to the center of the space.

Just after you had set down your bags, however, the two of you heard strange, unnatural crackling sounds resembling those of electric flashes from a high-voltage coil coming from the clearing behind you. Turning around, you were stunned as you saw some kind of rift forming in mid-air about a meter above the ground of the clearing. The unexplained apparition slowly tore open, expanding to a diameter of just under a meter and granting a view to a strange, empty space. The crackling sound subsided as the rift seemed to stabilize, its edge swirling like the top of a whirlwind as you and Rosa stare at it in stunned silence. Suddenly, a rectangular shape became apparent on the other side of the rift, growing more defined as it drew closer and finally becoming recognizable as a silver, metallic case with a glass lid. The case started to phase through the surface of the rift, seemingly unaffected by gravity until it fully passed through to your side, where it fell to the ground with a thud, slightly dampened by the grass beneath. Once the case laid on the ground, the rift began to grow smaller, swirling in on itself until with a few final sounds of crackling it disappeared completely.

You and Rosa looked at each other in bewildered confusion, neither of you comprehending what you had just witnessed. As if to somehow make sense of what had just happened in front of you, you strengthen your resolve and cautiously move over to where the case laid on the grass floor while Rosa remained close to the tree with your bags. Kneeling down, you took a closer look at the case in front of you. Just like you had made out from your glimpse as it came out of the rift, it was a rectangular, metallic case with a glass lid. It had rounded edges and seemed oddly high-tech, a button embedded at its front seemingly used to open it. Through the lid you could make out what seemed to be some kind of Pokéball on the inside, so with your curiosity growing you decided to cautiously press the button on the case to open it.

Upon pressing the button, you heard what you assumed to be some kind of lock unlocking before the lid was slowly lifted up, providing you with an unobstructed view of the case's contents. Your first impression had been proven correct when inside, you indeed found what seemed to be a Pokéball. It did not look like any kind of Pokéball you had ever seen used by a trainer or sold in a store, as its top half was not a smooth, round surface but instead consisted of many small fractal shapes and was colored a deep, shiny purple. You even thought you could make out a slight light blue shine occasionally passing over the surface. Arranged in a circle around the slot the strange Pokéball was set in, you spotted a number of various small color-coded objects, each in a dedicated slot of their own. Counting eighteen of them, they appeared similar to digital storage cards in both shape and size, though you did not know whether they had the same functionality as well.

Wanting to get a closer look at the Pokéball inside, you decided to remove it from its slot inside the case and investigate it once more. However, you didn't notice anything else apparent about it from your second lookover and got up from your kneeling position. Looking over at Rosa, she still seemed a little hesitant but decided she wanted to get a look at the object in your hands herself. As she took a few steps in your direction, you threw the ball over at her, though Rosa unfortunately failed to catch the ball, causing it to bounce off the back of her hand and dropping to the grassy floor beneath her. You gave her your usual grin when she fumbled a catch, partly hoping to relieve the tension of the situation a little, though your grin soon turned into a look of shock when the ball on the ground opened up and a red beam of light emanated from it, making contact with Rosa's hand. Both of you looked on in shocked disbelief as the red glow began to overtake her body, soon enveloping her entire form. When not even her outline could be made out through the red light, it gradually receded back into the ball before it closed, trapping the light inside with Rosa nowhere to be seen.

You looked down at the ball lying in the grass, seemingly having captured your friend just like a Pokémon. The ball shook once, then twice, then a third time before the sound signaling a successful capture chimed from the purple Pokéball. In utter disbelief, you started to take a shaky step towards the ball, though you stopped in your tracks when you noticed what looked like some kind of distortion originating from it. It looked to you like a single wave moving in every direction, distorting your view of what was behind it for just a short moment before moving on. As this distortion continued to move on, you saw it passing through the bags of you and Rosa that still rested against the tree right across from you. Furthering your shock and confusion, the moment the wave had passed through them and you could make out the details again, Rosa's bag had completely disappeared. Not only that, but the ground beneath where it sat showed no signs of it ever having been there, as though it had never existed in the first place. Wanting to know what was going on and worried about your friend, you headed towards the ball, picked it up and threw it as though you were sending out a Pokémon.

A bright light streamed out of the purple Pokéball as it opened up, gradually taking shape and revealing your friend Rosa once again standing in the middle of the clearing. You were incredibly relieved to see her form again, though as the light coming from the ball died down, you could also see that she was now completely in the nude. All of her clothes and accessories had vanished entirely, with only her hair remaining in its signature style with two hairbuns on either side of her head as well as twintails. Rosa, slightly dazed and confused, took a moment to grasp her current predicament, eventually shrieking loudly and trying to cover her private areas with her arms and hands. While you were trying to avoid taking a peek at her out of respect for your friend, your gazes did eventually meet as the two of you tried to somehow make sense of the situation.

"Wh-what just happened?!" Rosa exclaimed as she desperately tried to protect her modesty. "You threw that ball, and then there was that light, and then I was in some strange place somehow, and now I'm nude!"

"I don't know!" you replied, similarly confused as her. "When that light overtook you, it pulled you into the Pokéball and shook as if it caught you. Then I sent you out, I think, and now you're back."

"So you caught me in that Pokéball?! That doesn't even make sense!" she exclaimed as she stood there.

"You saw that case coming out of that strange rift just as well as I did, I don't think we can argue about sense here," you responded, gesturing at the case that laid on the ground beside you.

"Well, yeah, but... Whatever! Can you please get me some spare clothes from my bag for me?" your friend asked with a pleading look.

"I'm sorry, but I can't," you replied apologetically. "When that ball caught you, it sent out some kind of distortion and your bag just disappeared. It doesn't even look like there ever was a bag where it stood."

"It what?!" Rosa, momentarily forgetting her exposure, dashed over to where you had put your bags and confirmed for herself that, in fact, it seemed as though her bag had never been there in the first place. "What does this mean...?"

"I don't know," you said, unable to give an answer. "We can only hope to find some kind of explanation in that case."

"You're probably right," she nodded, turning around and returning from where now only your bag laid. As you had already turned to face the case, you failed to notice for the moment that Rosa did no longer cover herself.

Picking up the case and looking over it again, you noticed a small button on the inside that was now blinking when it hadn't before. Assuming that this button had reacted to Rosa being caught inside the Pokéball, you pressed it in hopes of it providing some kind of explanation. Fortunately for the two of you, from the center of the slot the ball had occupied, a holographic message was now projected for you and Rosa to see. The two of you began to read.

Congratulations, fortunate finder, on having come across the most powerful device that is currently present within your dimension: The Conversion Ball! We have sent this device to your world from one that is much more advanced than your own, one where the very fabric of reality has been decrypted and the alteration of it has become technologically feasible. You may ask yourself why one would send such a device into an entirely different world, but the answer is much simpler than you might expect. It was simply done to introduce an element of chaos into another world and provide one lucky finder with a gift from ours, nothing more. You may think that we would want to extract some sort of research data from this, but that would be impossible. Even with our impressive capabilities, we have yet to develop a way for us to extract such data from different worlds.

Regardless of our intentions, you must surely be wondering what kind of device the Conversion Ball is, now that you have seen what it is capable of. As you have already witnessed, the Conversion Ball is a Pokéball capable of capturing humans instead of Pokémon. Upon successful capture, the Conversion Ball sends out a powerful reality-altering wave that rewrites the reality of your world in a way that makes it so that the captured person has always been a Pokémon instead of a human. A human Pokémon, if you will. The only ones aware of the original reality are the user and the newly created Pokémon. Every other aspect of your reality, be that other people, Pokémon or records, will treat the captured as though they had always been a unique species of Pokémon. Additionally, while the new Pokémon is still able to communicate with the user normally, anyone else will treat them as though they were speaking like any other Pokémon.

Upon conversion into a human Pokémon, there are two main aspects that should be noted with regards to changes to the captured. Firstly, you will most likely already have noticed the eighteen chips also present in this case. Each one of these corresponds to one of the eighteen types a Pokémon can possess and can be inserted into one of two slots that are now present at the top of the captured's back, right below the neck. Inserting one of these chips allows the captured to take on the type it represents, while inserting two of the chips lets them take on the resulting dual-type. Either kind of insertion results in physical changes to them in order to fit the typing, which will revert once the chips are removed again. The only way to remove the chips is through the user doing so, preventing even accidental removal through battle or circumstance. After capture, the converted's original appearance, disregarding any clothes or accessories, will be regarded as their base form. In their base form, they will have a pure Normal typing, even without insertion of the Normal Chip. This particular chip is only used to create dual-typings. The second of these aspects concerns slight mental alterations being applied to the captured, though these mostly only occur upon taking on a different typing. While the core personality remains unchanged and no memories are ever affected, slight mental tweaks will be performed in order for the capured to better fit their new typing. Just like the aforementioned physical changes, these also are reverted upon removal of the chips. Aside from these, however, there are two alterations that permanently apply upon capture to aid the captured dealing with their new role and begin to take effect after only a short while. These are the removal of the need to wear any clothes aside from those materializing when taking on a new type, as well as the removal of embarassment at being seen in the nude.

Regarding moves, your human Pokémon will be able to learn a broad set of moves that will become available depending on their level and typing. You'll be able to check them as well as any other information about your human Pokémon on your Pokédex. It should be noted that, as you are not only able to give them any dual-typing you desire but they can be counted among the strongest Pokémon with regards to their base strength, you will be unable to carry any other Pokémon on your team as long as you have your human Pokémon with you.

We wish you and your new human Pokémon great success on your new way through life!

After both Rosa and you had finished reading the message, the hologram switched off on its own and the button stopped blinking. The message had explained a lot, yet everything was still so incredible. Looking over at Rosa, you wanted to ask her what she though about what you had just read, but failed to do so as you were greeted by Rosa's completely uncovered breasts.

"Uhm, Rosa?" you started as you looked at her. "Your breasts are fully visible to me."

"Hm? Well of course they are, I don't have any clothes anymore, you know?" she replied matter-of-factly.

"I know, but... Shouldn't you want to cover them?" you asked your nude friend. "I mean, that was your top priority right after you got out of that ball."

"Probably, but I don't really care about being seen naked now, you know?" she stated, gesturing towards her nude self as if to emphasize the point. "The message definitely didn't lie in that regard."

"So you're completely fine with me looking at your bare breasts and crotch?" you requested, already half-expecting the answer.

"Sure, I don't mind," Rosa nodded with her usual smile. "You can look all you want, really."

"Well, alright then. Not that I'd mind either, after all," you concluded, accepting the fact that your friend did not care about her own nudity for now. "But anyway, we should probably figure out what to do now, don't you think?"

"Yeah, you're right about that," she agreed. "Any ideas?"

What did you do now?
