Outbreak

As regular a day as you could hope for was occuring. Breakfast delicious, exercise stimulating and a satisfying shower. Not to last though.

Getting dressed you start to hear a high pitched squeak only for a moment that then stopped. Thinking nothing of it you continued putting on your last shoe when you heard it again.

"Is that a fire alarm" you asked aloud hoping a the something would reply with the answer. Exiting the bedroom in search of the origin of the sound, it sounds stronger coming from downstairs. Heading downwards reaching the foot of the stairs a chiming added to the squeak and then something like an ambulance siren ringing out around the house.

Behind you in the kitchen you hear a scurrying and smashing like something jumping out the window. Heart racing you round the corner inching your way. Staring wide eyed as you see the window smashed and a red stain across the floor leading to the door leading to Jasper's Laboratory.
