More swimming

Alyssa enjoyed a few more jumps from the diving board. Each one was slightly more complicated than the last as she became more and more comfortable with her swim cap. Unbenownst to her, Alyssa had gathered quite the praise for her jumps. There had been a few claps which were lost in the sounds of the water.

After deciding to put the diving on hold for today, Alyssa did some more swimming, lazily exploring the bottom of the pool. She loved being able to lie on the floor of the pool for minutes on end and be perfectly fine. Alyssa made a mental note to buy herself one of these rebreather gags before she left.

Alyssa eventually grew bored of the water, and decided to get out and do some sunbathing. She did want to remove her mask though. The blindfold could stay - it would block her eyes from the sun - but she would prefer to no longer be restricted by the hood.

Alyssa pulled herself out of the pool and tried tk get her bearings. She had noticed that the path from the pool steps to the service desk was lined with those studded indents like they had at pedestrian crossings. Alyssa was able to easily follow the path and get to the keybearer.

Of course, Alyssa would need to add something in order to remove the hood. She felt over towards the service desk and indicated her wrists. The man from earlier must have finished his shift, as a different voice asked "You want me to add wrist cuffs?"

Alyssa nodded. She beamed with pride when she felt the cuffs being applied. She was getting the hang of this. She was learning the ropes rather quickly, she thought.

Murmuring a thank-you, Alyssa turned her attention to the keybearer again.

"You want me to remove that?" She asked. Alyssa nodded eagerly, and then presented her head to be freed.

But to Alyssa surprise, her newly applied handcuffs were removed instead.

"There we go. That cost you $5."

Alyssa was confused. She had indicated her head, right?

She tried again. She got the cuffs re-applied, and then went back to the keybearer. But again, she had her cuffs removed. And got charged another 5 dollars.

Then it dawned on Alyssa. What the receptionsit had said. She had indicated that her favoured item was a gag, and so a keybearer would always leave it on her when she went to one. And because her gag was part of the entire hood, it remained when she got restraints removed.

Alysa was stuck in the hood!
