I couldn't just stand there and watch Daphne get yelled at. We always watched our backs, and even though I was working there shorter than her I felt responsible. I step in and approached the angry customer.

• "Mis, there is nothing to worry about. Your order will be complete in no time." I stated to Caren.
• "You already wasted too much of my precious time, do you think I'll wait here for another five wrong orders to be done? Where are your integrity and standards?
• "Of course, your time is invaluable to us and I can offer you a 50% discount."
• "Now that's way better to hear."
• "Please, have a sit and I will bring you the order with the highest priority."

I managed to calm down both customer and Daphne. As I was finishing the order I saw my manager in the back door. He was watching the whole situation and how I resolved it by taking charge. I think he even gave me a little nod of approval. For sure this wasn't gonna influence my pay but at least I saved my poor friend.

Today's day was full of events, first the ring, later the groping, and finally the angry customer. What I needed was a well-deserved rest. I packed my things and went straight home.
