Destination Murderland

"Are you sure Batclaw will be OK with you taking his car?" Kori asked Kitty as the Mark IV Batmobile sped towards its location. "He's never seemed like the type to just lend out his gear to others."

"He's not, at least with most people. I'm just lucky enough to be one of the few people he trusts with it," Kitty explained. "Besides, I helped design this one -- I think I should at least be able to take it for a spin every now and then."

The Mark IV Batmobile was specifically designed for the Bat-Family; as such, it was able to fit a number of passengers. The Batclaw didn't use it quite as much as other iterations of the vehicle, as he usually worked on his own or with Laura, but it was worth keeping around when he needed all hands on deck.

"Are you OK back there, MJ? This has been kind of a bumpy ride..."

"I'm fine, Kitty. I get around town clinging onto Babs' back as she swings everywhere. This is nothing," reassured Mary Jane. MJ had become fast friends with Kitty and Kori since their recent introduction -- the two superheroes were very impressed with the redhead's sharp mind and keen eye... not to mention her stunning good looks. She'd have made an awesome detective, Kitty thought to herself.

"So how did you and Barbara meet?" Kori asked MJ.

"We were set up on a blind date by a mutual friend," MJ answered, smiling as she reminisced. "We both went to ESU, and became kinda casual friends after that. I "met" Spider-Girl not long after, so to speak, when she saved ESU from Eddie Bane."

"I've tangled with Bane myself," Kitty mentioned. "Those alien Venom steroids are no joke."

"No kidding. You saw what they did to his teeth, right? No orthodontist in the world could fix that. Anyway, one night I see Spider-Girl swinging out of Barbara's apartment, I put two and two together, and I go over there to personally thank her for saving us. We got closer and closer after that, one day I told her that I love her, and here we are. How about you? How did you -- and Gwen -- and Kori -- meet?"

"Kori & I met after Batclaw recommended I head up a team of X-Titans -- the New Titans. Needless to say, my jaw dropped when I first saw this tall, ridiculously sexy alien goddess," Kitty explained, causing Kori to blush. "I go to shake her hand, and she pulls me in and kisses me. I'd never been so confused in my life, and I've fought a guy made out of clay."

"Oh, I know all about Clayman. Babs has tussled with him a number of times," said MJ. "So she just kissed you? Geez, talk about luck!"

"Tamaraneans tend to be very open when they're attracted to someone..." Kori explained. "We can also assimilate knowledge through physical contact."

"...and I wasn't complaining," Kitty continued. "We just clicked after that. I met Gwen when Batclaw and I tracked her down -- at first, Batclaw wasn't exactly happy about a copycat in his city, but I knew I liked her right away. Gwen's as tough as they come, though, so it didn't take too long for her to gain Bats' trust. I start working patrols with her -- just the two of us -- and those turned into dates..."

"And so you ended up with two girlfriends. Um, how, exactly does that work?" MJ asked. She was no stranger with flirting with polyamory -- she and Barbara shared a complicated relationship (and at times, their bed) with Felicia Hardy. Neither of them had seen her in months, though. MJ briefly wondered what she was up to. Still, it seemed as if Kitty had a different kind of relationship with Kori & Gwen -- perhaps even more complicated that the one MJ had with the Black Cat.

"Oh, I know of Gwen and Kitty's relationship, and I am OK with it," Kori explained. "I quite like Gwen, myself."

"So are you three, um, together...?" MJ asked, her curiosity at an all-time high.

"Uh, not really... Kori and Gwen aren't, uh 'together' like they are with me... but I'm kinda hoping I can convince them to be. This... uh, this isn't TMI for you, is it?" Kitty asked nervously.

"Not at all. I did ask, didn't I?"

"Oh, um... good. I was afraid I'd made you uncomfortable." Kitty sighed in relief. She'd opened up quite a bit to MJ, feeling as if she was a close friend she could tell anything to, despite only meeting a few hours ago.

"Nahhhh, you guys are fine. I'm enjoying this," reassured MJ. "I like getting to know you guys better."

"The feeling's mutual," Kitty smiled. The women continued their conversation for a while longer before settling into silence. As MJ stared out the window, Kori looked over at her and smiled before leaning in Kitty's direction.

"I'll bet MJ's amazing in bed," she whispered to Kitty. Kitty responded with a coy grin and a nod of agreement.
