Chapter 280 by Johnrocker Johnrocker

That day…

Macca organises a house party

After Daniel was given the house keys and a few instructions referring to the caretaking of the house, his parents left the boys and packed up their car, making their way to the airport.

It didn’t take a mind reader to know what Daniel was thinking about the Macca situation. He was fuming inside, not happy at all that he was inviting himself to stay with them for the week. The only person that couldn’t figure out that was Macca himself who began turning on the extra large plasma screen and raiding the fridge.

Cracking open a can of light beer, he jumped on to the couch, putting his feet up.

“Hey! Hey! Hey!” Daniel shouted at him, jumping in front of him, “Under no circumstances are you allowed to put your dirty shoes up on the couch.”

Macca dropped his feet as he had a sip of his drink, “Does your dad have anything other than light beer? This sucks.”

“You’re not meant to be drinking that,” Daniel said, “Especially on the couch, at least finish it in the kitchen.”

Shaking his head, the boy got up and wondered off, checking out other parts of their massive house. Mark felt somewhat bad for Daniel but the whole thing was also quite comical. However, when he saw his best friend leaning over, a hand over his chest, Mark began to worry.

“You okay dude?” he asked, a little concerned.

He nodded, straightening up and pretending like there was nothing wrong, “Yep… fine.”

Mark would have questioned him further but before he could, they were interrupted again.

“Holy shit,” Macca said from behind them.

The two boys both turned around to see the Australian boy with a picture frame in his hands,

“Hey, put that down,” Daniel said again, walking over to him to take it out of his hands.

Mark moved over top to see what he was speaking about. It was a photo of Daniel’s sister Alexis, a stunning brunette that Mark had met before. She was in a very eloquent dress, proudly posing in front of the camera.

“Is that your sister dude… please tell me she’ll be here this week,” he asked Daniel as the host put back the photo.

“No, she’s at college,” Daniel told him, “Now seriously, take your shoes off before you ruin the carpet or something.”

Mark was a little disappointed hearing that, knowing he would very much like to see his sister too. Especially with the beautiful weather they were expected to be having this week, it definitley meant that they’d be spending a lot of time by the pool. Alexis in a bikini all week sure would have been something.

Around dinner time, the guys were around the table, eating food out from Chinese food containers. Feeling a little tired and stressed out, Daniel figured it’d be best just to order some takeaway rather than doing his best to cook for both Mark and Macca.

The money wasn’t an issue either, despite offers of splitting, Daniel bought and ordered for delivery. Now sitting around the kitchen bench, there was a bit of calmness as they all chewed down on everything.

“So when are we having a proper party,” Macca asked them.

“We’re not,” Daniel said immediately, “My parents would have my neck for it.”

“Aw come on mate,” he replied, “How about tomorrrow, we’ll have plenty of time for the house to be cleaned up by the end of the week when your folks are back.”

Daniel looked at Mark as if to get him to speak up on behalf of him to stop a potential party.

“It would be kind of cool to host one here,” Mark admitted.

“For the love of god…” Daniel muttered.

“Seriously, it’s an amazing house, it’s the perfect place for a party, we could keep it low key chilled too?” Mark continued.

Sitting there, playing with his dinner with his chopsticks, Daniel sighed, shrugging his shoulders. It wasn’t a confirmed yes by any means but it was as close as they would get to a yes.

Standing up out of his seat, Macca fist pumped the air, “Fuck yes boys! I’ll get the word out.”

With that, the Aussie ran off upstairs to grab his phone and start letting people know.

“No more than 30!!” Daniel shouted as he heard him run up the stairs.

He sighed again as he heard Macca’s footsteps up the grand staircase. Daniel turned to face Mark who had a cheeky grin on his face as he ate his noodles.

“I’m holding you responsible if anything goes wrong,” Daniel pointed at Mark.

“When has anything ever gone wrong over the last two years?”

What's next?
