"You did?" Susannah asked in surprise. Did Helen know what she had done in her body? How could she know? Susannah was sure she had put her daughter's mind to sleep when she had possessed her. She tried her best not to appear panicked.
"You possessed me today, didn't you?" Helen said. She leant back into the sofa with a smug look on her face.
"Yes...," Susannah admitted weakly. "But how do you know?"
"I didn't know for sure until just now, but my memory of today is a bit muddled. I think the magic of the spellbook tries to fill in any gaps. If I didn't know about the spellbook, I don't think I would have thought anything was wrong."
Susannah was silent for a moment, considering what her daughter had just explained. "So you don't remember anything that I did whilst I was possessing you?"
"No. But I was hoping you might tell me that now. You did say you had something to tell me after all!"
"I did," Susannah said evenly. Over the last few minutes she had gone through a roller coaster of emotions, fearing that her daughter was aware of everything she had done in her body. Thankfully, she was in a position that she could tell a bit of a white lie and get away with the worst of what she had done. Helen didn't need to know about everything after all. "I think the first thing I should tell you, is that I discovered a new spell that creates a temporary soul for when you've left your body. It meant I could leave it to do my housework whilst I went out to... experiment a little."
"Ok, that's interesting," Helen said. "You'll definitely have to teach me that later! What did you do after that?"
"Well, I didn't know this at the time, but apparently when possessing people you add their sexual drive to your own."
The expression on Helen's face went from casual intrigue to mild panic. "Mum, what did you do?" she asked, the colour draining from her face.
"When I possessed you I had no intention of doing anything too ****. I just wanted to see what it was like to live your life. You were at the front desk, checking in customers to the centre, so I thought I'd be a bit flirtatious with them."
"You didn't?!" Helen interjected, raising her voice.
"I didn't do anything like that, don't worry love," Susannah continued calmly. "I just got myself a bit worked up. I was feeling so... this is embarrassing to admit to you, but I was horny beyond belief. I had to go to the washroom and get myself off otherwise I was going to explode! No-one saw me so they're none the wiser. I am sorry though Helen."
Helen shook her head slowly with a wry smile on her face. "That's two days in a row you've possessed me and done something like that!"
"I know love," Susannah said solemnly. She wasn't able to look her daughter in the eye.
"Why don't you just have my body for a bit and I'll have yours?"
"What?" Susannah's eyes widened in surprise at her daughter's suggestion.
"Why not? You'll only end up possessing me again later if we don't swap over now," Helen laughed.
