Chapter 7 by Bolt8091 Bolt8091

Does Texas trust him or not?

Trust Him

Texas let's out a sigh, it's not like she has a choice right? She was in a prison filled we convicts who'd be out to get her. And against her better judgment and as Cole pointed out she had to trust someone in here. Even if it is a convict, it's better than suffering whatever horrible fate the creeps in here have planned for her.

"Fine, guess i really don't have a choice." Texas said albeit reluctantly. Cole smirks and chuckles.

"Yeah, ya really don't." Cole said while looking over at her. "Welp, might as well get comfortable. Cause we're probably gonna be here for a hot minute." Cole said, as he kicked his legs out and cross them. Texas just nods in response as the two sat there in silence.

About two days later the door to the cell finally opened and in the doorway of it was Warden Ramshackle and two other guards. Cole and Texas had to cover their faces from the light on the outside but their vision readjusted to it.

"Alright prisoners, out of there." Ramshackle ordered them. Texas reluctantly got to her feet and walks past Ramshackle as one the guards grabbed her arm and drags her back to their cell. Cole on the other hand decided to be funny.

"De light! It burns us! I'ssss not ready to go back outside!" Cole hissed playfully. Texas had to stiffle a laugh from that act, but Ramshackle wasn't really amused.

"Keep joking around and i'll put you back in there for the rest of your miserable life!" She threatened the wolf. Cole's smile dropped as he looks at her.

"You're no fun, warden." As he said the other guard grabbed his arm and yanked him forward. Both guards drag the two back to their cell where Brick was already there. The guards open the door and shove the two in there. After that they slammed the door shut and walked away.

"Lousy varmints!" Texas swore under her breath as she got back up. Cole got back up and dusted himself off.

"Don't worry, we won't be here for long." Cole said that last one coldly but unfortunately Texas was able to overhear it. What did he mean by that? But Texas brushed it off thinking it was nothing more than a empty threat. But that's beside the point, so many questions were swimming through Texas' head. Was April alright? Was Gold Springs still in one piece? How would she get out of here and back to Gold Springs? These were all racing through her head, but she should be focusing on the current question.

And that Question is, What happens now?
