Chapter 7 by zankoo zankoo

What's next?

Abbie begins to get comfortable

Abbie took a deep breath. "I think I'm ready."

Greg, now in the character of Isaac, began the scene. "Hey, Kim, how's college life?"

Abbie, reading as Kim, continued. "Isaac! Nice to see you. It's a lot of work, but I'm totally loving it." Abbie lowered the page. "So Kim is in college? How old is she?"

"She's 19 or 20. I know you said you were 24, but it's okay, I think you read young enough. Are you okay with it?"

"Oh, absolutely. Just checking."

"You know, would you mind not wearing that shawl? I think you might play a bit younger without it."

"Sure thing." Abbie took off the shawl, and placed at the foot of the stage.

"Hey, Kim, how's college life?"

"Isaac! Nice to see you. It's a lot of work, but I'm totally loving it." Abbie walked across the stage as she said her next line. "Just a few months before you go off to college. Are you excited?"

"Hang on a sec, Abbie. I didn't see it before, but as you walked across the stage, you seemed too mature for this moment. I think it's your shoes. I hope it's not too forward of me to ask, but would you mind taking off your shoes?"

"Oh! Yes, I'll do that -- thank you!" Abbie walked to the edge of the stage, and sat on the edge, dangling her feet over. She bent her knee and lifted one foot to the stage, and began to undo the straps around her ankle, and loosen the shoe.

As she sat in this position, Greg looked up and realized that from his vantage point, he could see into her rather short skirt. She wore white panties, which, thanks to the spread of stage light, were fairly visible.

Abbie didn't seem to realize how exposed she was. Greg became aware of the camera he had set up, and had a combination of feelings -- worry that she would notice and realize the awkwardness, possibly making things difficult going forward; and excitement that he saw something he probably shouldn't be seeing.

Abbie undid the other shoe, and set them aside. Now barefoot, she jumped back to the stage. "This feels much better."

"Great. Let's take it again."

"Hey, Kim, how's college life?"

"Isaac! Nice to see you. It's a lot of work, but I'm totally loving it." Abbie walked across the stage again, but this time, barefoot, her gait had a little skip to it, and her next line was more playful, almost flirtatious. "Just a few months before you go off to college. Are you excited?"

"I'm nervous!"

"What do you have to be nervous about? Everyone's gonna love you."

Greg broke out of the scene. "This is great, Abbie. I was thinking, because you're newer to acting, it might help you play the scene if I was on stage with you. Would that be okay?"
