If I can get it away from her.

I grab the wand and try to pull it from my mom. She briefly tries to pull it back before she lets go and I land on my ass. To my surprise I'm still holding the wand.

I'm not sure if it's was what mom wished or what I always wanted, but I didn't want our relationship to go back to what it was I wanted more.

My mom just smirks down at me and puts her hands on her hip. "Son, if you actually paid attention to what I wrote you'd know the wand only works for the one that first uses it, that's me."

I don't know if she's bluffing or telling the truth. My only options are either to try or give up and hope she forgives me.
