A man she doesn't know

Standing by the door to the bathroom was a man. He wore a jumpsuit, something like what a plumber or mechanic might wear. The suit was gray. The man was tall. He was clearly staring at the shower, and presumably at Naomi. She watched him in the reflection of the small mirror mounted on the wall inside the shower.

He didn't move at first, but then he took a few steps toward her. Naomi had to adjust the mirror to keep seeing her, and eventually, it was obvious that not only was he approaching the shower, but they both knew that they were watching each other.

Naomi turned, and pulled open the shower curtain.

"I'm Naomi. You're in my house. What's going on?" She spoke this basic truth bluntly and clearly. The man didn't answer. "Sorry, maybe you didn't hear me through all the weird staring and voyeurism." She spoke slower. "I'm Naomi. You're in my house. What's going on?"

The man swallowed, and spoke. "I'm Victor. I'm a plumber. Your ... girlfriend? ... hired me to replace the faucet handles in the upstairs showers. I did this one before, and then I just did the other bathroom, and I came back here to get my tools."

"Which girlfriend?"

"Olivia?" he asked, suddenly not sure what the name on the order might have been.

"Okay, that's a person. Fine." Naomi was doing nothing to hide her nudity. She just stood there as the shower washed over her, staring at Victor.

"Um. It's nice to meet you, Naomi?" he said.

"Is everything out of your mouth a weird question?"

He smiled and chuckled. "No." He glanced at the floor, and then back up at her. "I --" He stopped.

Naomi egged him on. Maybe this would be fun. "You ... what?"

He shook his head. "I need to get my tools."

Naomi reached out a hand and touched the collar of his jumpsuit. "No, you ... what else?"

He paused, then said, "I heard you shouting before."

Naomi smiled. "You did, huh? What did you hear?"

He was silent.

"Go on, tell me what you thought you heard." She wanted him to work for this.

"I heard you shouting about looking for you. And stuff."

"That's not what I said, and you know that's not what I said." Naomi picked up the soapy sponge again, and began to lather her body. "What did I say?"

He took a breath. "You said 'find me and fuck me.'"

Naomi giggled. "You're right! That's exactly what I said. You win!" She touched his nose with the soapy sponge. "Congratulations!"

He furrowed his brow and wiped the soap from his face. "What did I win?"

"Uh, duh?" She held out her arms and gestured with her hands as if to say, you won this, you moron.

"Look, I could lose my license if I misunderstand anything and cross a line. I think I should get my tools and go ... unless there's something very clear and straightforward you want to say."

Naomi hated that this game got technical and boring. But she understood his point of view. He was new to the house, and if he was going to play by her rules, he needed to really know what was what.

"I will be very clear and very straightforward. And when I'm done, you'll take off your clothes, climb into this shower, and fuck me." She paused and looked around. "Wait, was that the clear part, or do I need to do it again?"
