Investigate in the break room.

You walk over to the break room, the scent of perfume filling your nostrils. Your heart beats fast as you push the door open. You’re met with the same room of slutty middle aged women you saw yesterday, except now they’re all staring at you.

You clear your throat, “ Hi, I’m Jenny. U-ummm... I’m the new hire. It’s nice to meet you all...” The room is silent, the smell of perfume is making it hard to think and it’s almost as if it gets more poignant with every second that goes by.

Finally one woman stands up, she’s much taller and wider than you and is dressed the same as all the other women. She walks over to you, looks you up and down and then pinches your cheek.

“Ohh~ Aren’t you such a cute little thing! I could just eat you up!” She puts her hand on your shoulder and turns to all the other women.

“Alright girls, Jenny is new here so we’re gonna treat her kindly. Is that clear?” She asks loudly while raising an eyebrow.

In unison all the women reply “yes ma’am!” Before giggling and whispering among themselves.

You don’t know how to explain it, but you feel a motherly bond with this woman... you know it doesn’t make sense but it just feels right. You turn to her, “thank you ma’am... could I ask for your name?”

She walks back over to the coffee table, pulls up a chair beside her and pats the seat. “You’re welcome hun, I’m Caroline. It’s a pleasure to meet you~“

You take a seat beside her, your head feels heavy. That damn perfume, it’s..... it’s overwhelming you.... you can help but think to yourself, “it smells sooooooo good!” You snap out of it for just a moment and realise Caroline is staring at you.

“O-oh yeah it’s umm... it’s nice to meet you too!” You say, slurring your words slightly, trying your best to organise your thoughts.

Caroline puts on a worried expression, “oh dear, are you feeling ok? You look tired. Did you eat breakfast? We can get you some tea and something to eat if you’d like~“

All the women look at you expectedly, you look back over at Caroline, her warm presence calming you. Maybe you should have some tea...
