Annie Lentz had it all. Being from a rich family, her father was the CEO of a major banking chain which had several branches all throughout the midwest and her mother was the owner of a very successful chain of Beauty salons. And being she was married to a star pro football player, she had the life many could only dram about, a beautiful home, several cars etc. With her financial portfolio, it meant she never had to work a day in her life.

But in the span of 1 year, it all came crashing down on her. Her father passed away from a massive heart attack. Her mother in that time had contracted breast cancer and died shortly after. And the worst of it all, her husband was killed when a drunk driver decided to run from the police and plowed his car head on into her husband's Corvette killing all 3 people in the vehicle. in the span of 1 year, her life had flipped.

Even knowing the fact that her inheritance as well as her trust fund would keep her financially secure for the rest of her life did not change the fact that she felt alone. She was the poster child for the old saying "money can't buy happiness." Somehow she knew for her own sanity that she had to make a change. One lonely night while perusing the internet looking for ways to deal with her depression and grief, she came across a website for the Mears Institute. She had heard of this place and knew of it's reputation and despite the controversy she figured it wouldn't hurt to make the call and inquire. Being how it was late at night she decided to go to bed and call in the morning.
