Deeper Down the Rabbit Hole

You're about to head back up but another question begins to nag at you to ask. "Wait he chose this?" You ask The Clerk wondering why they allowed him to choose his own punishment.

"Oh Yes!" The Clerk responds. "When we write up the contracts for our staff the hiring team types up the contracts by hand because every staff member differs in what they want or need as we are very accommodating to people having choices here. Differing work conditions and needs, differing forms of payment, and of course differing forms of punishments. We do give a few different options for such. We have a "Three Strike" system here. Strike one is usually a reprimand. Strike two is normally a pay cut for a period equal to the cause of the strike. Strike 3 is punishment. This can come in a few ways the first being the standard being fired and removal of all assets connected to Company and the Employee, things such as Work Materials and depending on the cause of the punishment removal of any Pets the Employee owned. The second Punishment is Manual Labor. This is one of the better options since you still get to work for the company but does require a change in payment if the Employee doesn't take cash payment. The Manual labor is more akin to being a Zookeeper. You feed, bathe, and other forms of care for our Animorphs and do other forms of heavy lifting for our scientists. If you gain another strike after this you are fired and depending on the fourth offense you may be brought up for a class action lawsuit or criminal charges against you. Our Third and final punishment is Transformation into an Animorph. This can be brought about in two ways. Either you are transformed and keep you're mind and you will become property of the company and used for experiments by the research team and in rare cases adopted. The second option is full brainwashing. You'll forget you were ever human and in some cases be given a preprogrammed personality, usually an embarrassing one, if you're offense was particularly bad. Again the Employee becomes property of the company but chance of experimentation is rare with the chance of being put up for adoption being much higher. As you may be able to tell, our previous employee here opted to becoming an adoptable Animorph for his punishment in his contract."

"Why would anyone choose this though?" You ask once more you're curiosity growing about this place.

"Well I don't know everyone who chooses it's reasoning but I can make assumptions. Maybe they just find it kinky? Maybe they think having their needs taken care of if they're adopted is a better option then the others? Maybe they didn't think at all? Not my place to judge. Rarely we'll get customers who want to be turned too." The Clerk replies with that last part catching you off guard.

"Wait customers can be turned too?" You ask still shocked at the notion.

"Oh Yes we do Sir." The Clerk says with another customer service smile. "It's almost always the Brainwashing version but there are rare cases where we have customers take up the experimentation option for it as well." He stops giving you a sly knowing smile now. "Why do ask? Is that something you wish to be apart of?"
