A Slaughter

You peer out into the distance as you see chaos unfolding. Bandits were everywhere, slaughtering and looting. Homes were burnt to the ground and possessions carted off with. There would be no respite for these criminals today. You signal your troops to surround the area.

Steeling yourself against the cries and screams, your troops get into position. With a signal, your formation rushes towards the battle. Unsheathing your weapon, you stretch out upon your mount. Wind pushing against your face, you let out a roar as you enter the village perimeters.

Soon, **** erupts. You hear the clash of metal and flesh as men lock into combat. Looking around the hovels you spot a target. A grisly man cornering a scared elderly villager. Keeping your pace, you swing and you feel your sword connect. Taking him off his feet, your blade slashes him through and you continue on. Another man leaves a hovel, holding onto some rudimentary heirloom boxes. You skewer him and he falls to his knees. As you near the center of the village, you spot a rough formation of bandits.

Standing no chance against your armored, disciplined troops, these bandits entered a circle formation. You hold your ground as you refused to let your bloodlust consume you. Before long, your retinue encircles the center as they clean up all straggling bandits. Villagers continued to cry out in grief and pain as they encounter dead loved ones.

Suddenly, a brash voice calls out to you. You see a gaunt older man step outside the circle challenging you. Naming you a coward and less than a man, he manages to insult your lineage, mother, and penis size all in one go. Impressive.

You scoff and signal Zhao. He and his men pull out their bows and loose, decimating the bandits. Men fall clutching at their wounds. You move in with your men to finish off the last ones. You happen upon a youth, quaking in fear and grabbing at their thigh. You tell Zhao to secure this man. He would lead you to their encampment.
