Chapter 22
by NathanX
How to tackle this?
It's not Jason's help you need...
In the end, you shake your head. If someone’s going to see you in this humiliating outfit, it had better be someone who might actually have a chance at helping you out with CARA. Jason is a decent guy and all, but dealing with a rogue house robot is way above his pay grade.
Your mind flits back to Sara’s phone, up in her room. It’s a safe bet that she’d still have Jessie’s number there, and while the idea of the town’s number one nerd (and Sara’s number one stalker) seeing you decked out like this is mortifying as hell, you’re pretty sure you can intimidate him into keeping his mouth shut - not something you’re sure you could do with Jason. Now you just have to make sure that you keep Jason out of the house -
-
and then you hear his voice from downstairs and remember you told him where to find the spare key. Panicking, you say the first words to come to mind:
“CARA I’m not ready yet! Stall him!”
As you wish.
There’s a sizzling zap, then the sound of something hitting the floor. Terrified, you rush down the stairs - or as quick as you can in these heels - to find an **** Jason being lifted from the floor by CARA’s robotic arms. To your great relief, he’s breathing.
“What did you -“
-
I incapacitated your guest, as you requested. I shall move him to a guest room. He can be easily brought back to consciousness once you are ready to woo him Sara. *
That’ll be ‘never’ then, you think to yourself, suppressing a shudder. Still, you can't help but feel bad for your friend. Should you make sure he's comfortable, or go call Jessie?
Should you make sure Jason's comfortable, or go call Jessie?
