Later on that day, Kevin was setting up everything for game night. He already had made some wings, fried some fries, and had a platter filled with some classic chips and dip.

Emily came over and grabbed a wing as Angel started setting up the game for the night.

“What is it this time?”

“The two missing college students were taking Stardust, and I think that it’s connected to their disappearance. I also think that it has something to do with that huge party last week. Everyone I’ve spoken to can’t remember anything that happened near the end of the night. I’m sure you can’t either.”

“I can’t, but how did you know I was there.”

“You mean other than the fact that you went to the party on the same day. I was there too that night, and I saw you there.”

“I would’ve recognized you if I saw you.”

“I was in disguise. If I got into a jam, I couldn’t let myself be easily found. However, I also can’t remember what happened at the end of that night, but the reason I was there in the first place was because I got information that they were going to be selling a new **** there. I didn’t know that it was Stardust at the time, but I’m confident now that they were intending on doing something with the **** there. I also believe that it has something to do with everyone’s missing memory, but all I have are theories as to why that may be.”

“As much as I am impressed by the amount of work you’ve been doing. Don’t you think we should go to the police? You may not have enough to make a story about the kids, but surely you have enough to make a story on Stardust.”

“You’re right, but the police can’t help us. There isn’t a case open because whatever caused our memory to disappear is causing whoever catches the case to lose their memory. Whoever we're dealing with has people in high places or access to the police station. The worst part is that there’s no way to tell who’s guilty, and there’s no way to cast suspicion on who’s guilty either. I must do this myself.”

“Okay, but from what you’ve told me, it doesn’t sound like you have any leads.”

“If I can find out the who’s the producer of Stardust, then I get more information on this **** and figure out why they disappeared if not find them myself. The only problem is that everyone I’ve talked to won’t give me their supplier. I’m assuming because they don’t want to take a risk that I’ll give them up to the police and take away their only access to the ****. I can’t even attempt to find the source without getting into contact with one of the suppliers.”

“You know how dangerous this is, but I know you well enough to know that won’t listen to me about this. That’s why I’m joining your little mission.”

“What? No, I don’t think so.”

“I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night if I didn’t. Besides, I don’t want to see your face posted as missing or worse, dead.”

Karen sighed, “Alright, but teaming up with me doesn’t change the fact that I reached a dead end.”

Angel came from the living room, “Hey, I know that I’m interrupting something here, but I could tell you who sells Stardust to me.”

“You would be willing to tell me that information. Aren’t you worried that you’ll lose your supplier forever?”

“I don’t need them anymore. I have a newer, stronger addiction to contend with,” said Angel as she looked over at Kevin.

“Who’s your supplier, Angel.”

“It’s Rick.”

Kevin asked, “Rick Sandy?”

“Yes, do you know him?”

“I’ve known him my entire life. I didn’t know he was selling Stardust to you.”

“Kevin, do you think that he’ll tell you who his supplier is if you ask him.”

“I don’t know. I’ll give it a shot.”

Kevin called Rick to get some answers. Hopefully, he would give them to us because they didn’t have any other options.

“Hey Rick, how’s it going?”

“Great man, the sun is screaming at me.”

“Are you high right now?”

“Every day is a high man. You just got to see it with your whole being instead of your eyes.”

“That’s great. I wanted to ask you who’s your supplier for Stardust?”

“The miracle ****. Able to shift reality at one’s will and completely overturn one’s fate. Yeah man, the princess herself gives them to me.”

“The princess, I see. I’ll talk to you later.”

“Later, gator.”

Kevin smiled, “I guess Krystal is Rick’s supplier. I didn’t see that coming.”

Angel asked, “Why’d you call her princess?”

“Rick always refers to Krystal as a princess because her mom is the current headmistress of Eternal Collage. However, there’s no way Krystal is going to admit that she’s selling the ****, especially to us. I doubt she’ll even stop to talk to us.”

“It’s a lead at least.”

Emily popped up this time and said, “I could probably find something out if you give me enough time. I have a friend that might be able to tell me something about this whole situation.”

Karen looked shocked by all the revelations and said, “I like your friends. Maybe, we can do this together after all.”

“Since you are already here, why don’t you join us for game night.”

“What are you playing?”

“We’re going to play Scrabble while watching a movie.”

“Sure, why not.”

Karen put her bag down and joined us for our game night. Kevin didn’t directly admit to being in a relationship with either of them, but his sister isn’t a reporter for no reason. She figured it out fairly quickly but decided not to say anything about it. However, that didn’t stop her from dominating the Scrabble game and getting the most points. Kevin still couldn’t believe she got a triple word score from the word Zebra and won the game. Emily got a solid second place while Kevin placed third and Angel placed last. Word games were not Angel’s forte.

Kevin had a fun night with everyone and cleaned everything up before talking with his sister again. She agreed not to pursue any more leads that she may find without him to give him peace of mind. Kevin escorted her out of his place and locked the doors before heading to bed. He was tired from the day’s event, and it wasn’t long until he was fast asleep.
