Heading back to her room

Taking a moment to think both options over, Carla eventually decided to just head back to her room. Even if she did get a hold of May, what good would it have actually done? Not much. If anything, she probably would've pressured her to continue staying here to make it more genuine.

Thankfully, it wasn't that hard to head down the hallway and reach her room. Slowly opening the door, she found the room to be exactly how she had left it.

"Home sweet home." Carla announced as she entered, closing the door behind her. Letting out a deep breath, the elderly woman walked over to her bed. Getting under the covers, she let sleep take her in.
