Go for a weapon

You look for something you can use, but Amy comes at you much more ferociously than you expect, and faster too. She bashes you into that **** horse, and you hit your head. Almost by accident, you kick her legs out, and she lands heavily on top of you. You struggle with her on the floor, but you’re equally strong. She tries to **** you, but you pull her hair, causing her to lose her grip. You shove her off and kick her, sending her tumbling across the room.

You get up, ready to go after her, but she snatches a whip off the wall. Shit. You duck behind the **** horse as she snaps it at you. A whip takes skill to use, and she doesn’t have it, but it’s still scary. You search around desperately and grab a riding crop from a hook on the wall. It’s not much, but you have to make a move. You can’t let Amy be on offense. You lunge out as she circles the horse.

She snaps the whip, and you thrust out the crop in front of you. The whip knocks it out of your hand, but it also prevents you from getting hit. You throw a punch, which Amy ducks. She grabs the whip before she can try to use it, and a struggle ensues. You win by giving her a headbutt that knocks her to the floor. You have the whip ready, but she tries to kick at your knee. You awkwardly dodge, but trip over your own feet and fall. You roll on top of her, looping the whip around her neck and pulling it tight. She thrashes and you find yourself behind her. You pull on the whip, strangling her.

She thrusts her head back violently, hitting you in the nose. It’s super painful! You let go, and she wiggles free, clambering on top of you. She doesn’t try to strangle you with the whip, she uses her hands, but she’s not heavy enough to pin you down. You throw her off and scramble to your feet.

You are both hurt and out of breath.

“Who taught you to fight?” you pant.

“I’m going to kill you,” she says frankly. “Then profit from your ****.”

That is the most American thing you have ever heard.

You dodge as she comes at you because now you have a feel for how she fights. You trip her, sending her stumbling. She’s probably very scary, striking from the shadows with a knife when nobody knows she’s coming. But one on one? You can take her.

She falls against the wall, and you’re there, grabbing her wrist and slamming it into a manacle. You click it shut. She elbows you hard, but you wrestle her other arm into a manacle too.

She’s chained to the wall, her back to the room.

She makes a noise of frustration and rattles the chains as you step back, out of her reach. She can’t even try to kick you.

You lean on the **** horse, panting.

What is happening? Why is Amy a psycho? Why is there a dungeon underneath CCL house? Why did Olivia try to kill you?

You hear footsteps and voices. A phone light flashes into the room, lighting you up. Your lip is busted. Your eye is blackening. You’re naked except for knickers made see-through by rainwater.

You don’t care.

Ingrid, Aki, and the Detective crowd into the broken wall, staring at you. The detective looks as bad as you do.

“Someone stop her!” Amy cries out, twisting around. “She’s going to kill me!”

The three of them don’t react. You’re so relieved to see them, but suddenly you’re tense. How would anyone know that you weren’t the one under that robe?

“That won’t work, Amy,” Aki says calmly, holding up a phone. “We found your phone.”

Several texts with Olivia glow on the screen. Amy must have gone for her phone to use the light when you turned off the light, then dropped it when you attacked her. It’s a good thing you did that!

“Can you help me keep an eye on her?” the Detective asks Aki, who nods. “Help’s on the way. Ingrid, can you take a look at her?”

“Of course,” Ingrid comes to you, all warm, motherly concern. The floor above your head is creaking. People are moving around up there, and you hear more voices.

Go upstairs with Ingrid?

Or stay down here with Amy?
