Tip off Coleman

Nancy could barely sleep that night. She had to drag herself out of bed and makes it to the precinct. She sat at her desk and sighed.

"Damn girl, are you ok?" Nancy looked up and saw her partner Syd. "You must have partied really hard last night."

"Y-Yeah. I just partied a bit too much." Nancy looked down at her desk. "I don't really want to talk about it."

Syd looked at her partner and smiled. "It's ok." Suddenly Syd gets a text message. "Hay, I got a tip on the Maxwel case. I'll go tell the chief so we can get the go ahead."

Nancy watched her partner walk away. She knew what she had to do. "For Izzy." She mumbled. She takes out a cellphone Coleman gave her last night and quickly texted.

"Syd has a tip on the Maxwel operation. We are likely to go to his location."

Syd and Nancy drove to the location that Syd's informant said. Nancy was looking out the window feeling guilty for tipping off Coleman. After reaching the location Syd parked and drew her gun. "Ready partner?" Nancy snaps out if her trance and nods.

Syd and Nancy slowly approach the building and slip inside. To Syd's surprise it was empty, not a trance of anyone being there.

"There's no one here." Syd said as she looked around. "Damn it."

After searching for anything the two detectives returned to their car and drove back. The chief was not happy, believing that the intel was wrong. Syd offered to buy drinks at the bar, but Nancy refused and headed straight home.

After entering her house, she gets a text from Coleman.

"Nice job Detective, didn't think you'd go through with it. You're such a good mom."

Nancy wanted to smash the phone on the ground but knew it would cause more trouble.

"I need you to be my date tomorrow night. Want to properly introduce you to my clients."

Nancy replied.

"Won't people recognize me?"

"Don't worry about that, I've got it covered. Just send me your measurements."

Nancy reluctantly sent Coleman her measurements. After finishing she collapsed on to the bed face first. She needed a way out. But until then, she is at Coleman's mercy.
