What does Lois do?

Lois Politely Declines

"I'm sure they are," Lois said levelly as she stared directly into the Middle Eastern man's eyes. "However, I do not do—temporary. Thank you for the drink. I hope you have a pleasant evening."

She stood up. His hand did not let go of her wrist. Once again, Lois Lane felt that wave of danger that exuded from him. The pleasant mask dropped from his face. Still handsome, but there was anger there. Rage. He stood up, and his weight pressed the reporter's palm onto the table top.

"You American women are all the same. The only thing you understand is money, and yet when I offer it to you politely you act as if it isn't good enough for you."

He held her wrist with his right hand. With his left, he brought forth a dagger. An actual curved dagger, the guard of heavy bronze and studded with tiny stones that might have been actual gems instead of cut glass. The steel of the blade was dark and well-oiled.

"You will come with me, quietly," he said. "Or I will cut your fingers off one by one."

Lois Lane looked around the table. None of the men were going to stop him...although the nearest few looked ready to grab her if she screamed.

Something stirred inside Lois. An unfamiliar, almost alien desire. She thought about big cats, the claws on their paws...their teeth...the muscles that bunched beneath their skin.

"You want to let me go," Lois said, as she felt something like a growl build in her throat, and the desire seemed to fill her chest and pulse in her ears. It was all she could do to hold it back. The reporter showed her teeth. It could have been mistaken for a smile.

"Woman, you do not tell me what to do!" He hissed, and stabbed the tip of the dagger between the second and third fingers of her hand. "Hold her. She can still suck my cock without fingers."
