You’re getting out of here. You turn down their offers and go back to your car. You could hang around. You know that once these girls get drunk, the clothes will come off, but you don’t need photos of them. Especially after already getting caught once.

It’s a long drive home, and when you get back to the apartment, you hear the shower running. In the kitchen, there’s a plate of cheese and crackers covered with plastic next to a bottle of wine.

You stare at it, wanting to cry. Rita is so sweet, and you just came so close to cheating on her. Meg was obviously trying to get with you back there, and if you’d had a few drinks… You gulp down a glass of wine and go into the living room, where the TV is paused. Rita better not be watching Mandalorian without you. You had a deal to watch it together.

No… she’s watching Queen’s Gambit. You don’t care about that. You sit with your glass of wine and groan. After a moment you get out your phone and look at your bills. Things are tight, but Rita doesn’t know that.

You have big student loans to pay, and you also have a shitload of debt that you just inherited from your moron father, who is probably not actually dead. He’s faked his **** before. You hope it’s for real this time, but you never know. You need to make some money. The interest rates on these are really bad, so it’s critical that you not miss any payments. You also can’t let Rita find out… she might try to help you, which would not be OK.

A raise or a higher-paying job won’t help you, because that will just make your student loans go up. What you need is to get more good shots so you can secretly get more income.
