Chapter 12 by alternatereality08 alternatereality08

Does the girl make it?

She does

The team celebrated as the girl crossed the line, scoring a point for their team. Alexis blew her whistle, signaling to the girls that the period was almost over. Annabelle took this as an opportunity to take her leave. She made her way back into the school and decided to check by her office. When she arrived, she saw a student sitting in one of the chairs outside. She had a nervous expression on her face and was anxiously tapping her foot on the tile floor.

"Hello there," said Annabelle. "What can I help you with?" The girl jumped, as if noticing Annabelle for the first time.

"Headmaster Iger! Sorry, I did not see you standing there," she said. "Mrs. Markos sent me down here because she told me I was being disruptive in class."

"Alright," said Annabelle, "why don't you come inside my office and we'll have a bit of a chat." The two made their way into the office, Annabelle sitting behind the desk and the nervous student sitting in front of it.

"Now, let's start with your name," continued Annabelle, once they were situated.

"My name is Melissa Birch, ma'am," said the girl, struggling to maintain eye contact with the older woman.

"Okay, give me a second to look up your file, Melissa." Annabelle scrolled through her computer and pulled up Melissa's file. It turned out that Melissa had not been a student at St. Mary's prior to this year. She had just transferred from a public school in the area, apparently because her parents happened into a good amount of money. "Hmm, okay, Melissa. I see that this is your first year at this prestigious institution so you might not be familiar with the strictness of our rules. St. Mary's is much less tolerant than the average public school."

"I'm really sorry, ma'am," interrupted Melissa. "I just needed to borrow a pencil to do my work."

"Miss Birch, it was extremely disrespectful to interrupt a person like that," said Annabelle. Melissa quickly put her hand up over her mouth. "Additionally, asking for a pencil is not a valid excuse for talking in class. We expect students to be prepared with their own materials."

"Yes, ma'am," said Melissa, bowing her head.

"Since this is only the first day of classes, I will go slightly easier on you," said Annabelle. Melissa brightened a bit from this statement but turned glum again as Annabelle continued. "Please remove your skirt and place your hands on the desk."

Annabelle moved to her cabinet as Melissa did as she was told. Now, it was only a matter of choosing what to punish the new student with.

What does she use to punish her?
