Listen, then act

With the bitch silenced for now you stop beside the door to listen. There are sounds of conversation from the other side; at least three different voices, male and female.

The picture hanging on the wall beside the doorway is typical of the hallway. In the foreground it looks normal; a lovely farm house, but in the background is shows a gang of naked red skinned demons cutting the heads off green skinned creatures much smaller than them.

"I'll just stay here..." says a male voice, he sounds happy. The door must be thicker than it looks because despite your enhanced hearing its quite hard to eavesdrop on the conversation.

Bitch whimpers again so you pull on her collar and leash. You've already noticed that the collar seems to be part of her neck. This isn't something she can take off or put on. The collar seems to be part of her. The leash seems to be part of the collar. Idly, you let your fingers stroke the handle end of the leash and bitch quietens.

Through the door you hear sounds of another door closing. Then sounds of someone walking around. Then silence.

What seems most likely is that one person has been left behind in the room and has now sat down. The others have had more than enough time to put some distance between themselves, this room and your next target.

You pull bitch to attention again and kick the door open.

There's a yelp of surprise from the man in the richly decorated room on the other side of the door.

The next thing you notice are the rows of books and shelves on the back of the door you've just kicked open. It seems all to likely that you've just opened a hidden door that no one else knew was there.

The man in the room looks shocked, surprised and stunned. He sits in a large, well appointed leather seat and even has a glass of brandy in his hand. The rest of the room looks entirely out of place form the rest of the house - it's warm, cosy and relaxing.

You drop bitch's leash and your new pleasure-hound charges forwards, sometimes running on all fours, sometimes lurching forward on just her seat. She leaps and lands on the startled looking man; landing firmly on his lap.

She has him pinned.
