Ask who she is

“Who are you?” you ask her bluntly.

She smiles. “I’m Detective Lopez.”

A cop? “Are we in trouble?” you ask nervously.

“No. I’m following up on some old stuff, that’s all. You know that a lot has happened around this place over the years, right?” she asks kindly.

“Kind of,” you say. You do know that in a general way, you just don’t know any details. CCL isn’t famous for nothing.

“You don’t look like the average CCL girl,” Lopez says to you.

“What’s the average CCL girl look like?” you reply.

Lopez looks past you, up toward the second floor. You turn and look as well to see Sun striding past the landing, fully nude.

“More like that,” she says.

“So I should take my clothes off?” you ask.

She laughs.

“I guess you can come in,” you say. “If you’re a cop. Just don’t bust anybody.”

“You’re outside of town. You’re safe. And I’m not a big fan of those laws anyway,” she assures you, entering the house.

You close the door, and it’s much quieter with the door shut. This storm means business.

“I just need to poke around a little. I don’t plan to bother anyone,” Lopez says.

“OK, but I have to tell Amy that you’re here.”

“That’s fine.”

You watch her walk away. Weird. Well, you better do what you said you were going to do. You hurry upstairs and down the hall to Amy’s room, where you tap on the door.

“Yeah?” is the reply.

You open the door to find Olivia with Amy. Amy wears her normal clothes, but Olivia is in her underwear: a cool, trendy, matching set of sporty panties and matching sports bra in a soft, athletic gray. Her back is to you and she’s leaned over, presenting the perfect view of her supermodel body from behind. Your gay heart stops for a second, but you pull yourself together. These two aren’t in the middle of anything lewd, they’re just looking at Amy’s computer together.

“There’s a police detective here,” you announce.

They both turn and stare at you. Their expressions make you want to laugh.

“What?” Amy says, looking blank.

“A detective. Her name is Lopez. She wants to look around.”

“Tell her to come back with a warrant,” Olivia says, indignant.

“Um, I already let her in.”

They stare at you. Amy puts her face in her hand. “OK.”

“What? She’s a cop,” Sally says. “Shouldn’t we do what she says?”

“Spoken like a true white girl,” Olivia replies.

“Shut up, Olivia. Thank you, Sally. I love you very much. Please leave before I **** you,” Amy groans.

“Sally likes that. She’s into that. She likes a little ****,” Olivia says.

“What? I do not!” you protest.

“Where’d the cop go, Sally?” Amy asks.

“I don’t really know,” you admit, blushing.

Amy and Olivia exchange another look. “Perfect,” Amy says after a minute. “Perfect. Why don’t you answer your phone?”

“Um, I was hugging Ingrid.”

“Oh. You were hugging Ingrid,” Amy repeats, her eye twitching.

“Shit, I wouldn’t answer my phone if I was hugging Ingrid,” Olivia says. “I want to go hug Ingrid right now. Name one person as huggable as Ingrid.”

“Samantha,” Amy replies. “Becky. Missy. Aki.”

“Aki is not that huggable,” Olivia says. “I’ve tried.”

“I’ll go now,” you say.

“Please do,” Amy says patiently.

You duck out of the room and close the door, face burning. You fucked up big time. Amy is double pissed at you now. You didn’t answer her call, and now you let a stranger into CCL house without checking with her first. They are going to haze the living shit out of you when your time comes. Man…

At least Olivia kept her sense of humor about it.

OK. School’s over, it’s Friday, you’re home… tonight is not your night to initiate, and Amy will probably forget about this before it’s your turn in a couple of weeks. You hope. You need to just relax and get on with your weekend. What to do?

Get cleaned up and ready for the evening? Or go knock out your studying and get it out of the way?
