Leah Sat Next to Her Girl Friends (Tenure: -5 Luck +5)

I'll see how the gals are doing. She thought as she strode to the bland table.

"Oh Hey Leah." Miss Doyle said, with her customary smile. She was a little younger than Leah but a good teacher and the two would hang out occasionally.

"Heyyyyyy gurl" Patrica said and slid the chair out for her. Leah could see Principal Howard had a disappointed look on his face as she moved to sit down. Good.

"Did y'all know about this?" Leah asked.

"No one did." another teacher said exacerbated.

"Alright everyone listen up!" Assistant Principal Kenning said as she paced with a clipboard with "important" information on it.

Assistant Principal Kenning was a short wiry woman with the a short power-style haircut that said "I am a school admin but have no reality of what's happening in classrooms because I haven't been in one for 15 years" kind of cut. Eventually she rose her voice enough to get all the staff's attention. A teacher faculty meeting could be worse than talking over a group of 9th graders sometimes.

She proceeded to tell the brain dead and exhausted teachers a number of new policies sent down by the board and discusses protocols for some homecoming activities that were coming up. Most teacher's acted like they were paying attention long enough until they were passed a flimsy paper that acted as a sign-in sheet. After what seemed like ages AP Kenning said the magic words.

"Any questions?" the AP asked after wasting everyone's (unpaid) time. She was looking around hoping for someone to give her more reasons to continue with her charade. Luckily everyone just wanted to go home. No hands were raised.

"Very well, everyone have a nice day." she barked.

"Y'all take it easy okay." Leah said addressing her gal pals. They each wished each other well as they all departed.
