John fired up the Companion AI.

He'd read about it, and was admittedly curious about its capabilities and limitations.

The room around him shifted into a sort of showroom.

It was a wide open space, surrounded entirely by red velvet curtains. There seemed to be no roof on the place. Everything just disappeared into darkness far above his head. For that matter, John wasn't sure where light was coming from. It was just inexplicably lit.

Three pedestals surrounded him and he quickly realized he was being given an opportunity to design his companion.
