Well, She Does Beat Up A Couple Of Cops...

The Metropolis Police Department were, for the most part, upstanding individuals. Yet, they were human, and they made mistakes. Like a no-knock raid on the wrong house. Bullets punched through drywall at what they thought were dangerous ****-dealers. The black woman who had been asleep bled out, the tiny heartbeats of her fetus still pulsing, even as the mother breathed her last.

Supermom burst through the wall like a gravid parody of the Kool Aid Man, and nearly as rotund. She thrust her hand into the taut brown stomach, just in the nick of time. Shivered as the latest child was added to her womb, its growth stabilized with its new siblings. Genetics overwritten. Lois Lane felt her heart swell with maternal love.

The cops, who had just inadvertently killed a civilian, were skittish enough; a costumed superhero bursting through the wall sent them into a panic.

The bullets flattened themselves against the reporter's body. Her boobs wobbled as they softly rippled, dissipating the energy of the projectiles across her surface. The thrum of the shots on her taut abdomen set the babies to kick and squirm inside of her...and Lois Lane growled in sudden maternal protectiveness.

They were shooting at her kids.

Officer Torkovsky had been the first one through the door. It was his finger on the trigger that sent bullets flying. A mistake that cost one woman her life already.

He had never stood in front of an enraged mother bear before. Had no idea of what kind of superhuman strength was necessary to rip through modern body armor. The reporter hit Torkovsky like a wrecking ball. His limp body rushed past his partner, straight through the door they had broken through, and bounced off the squad car, whose windows broke as his body dimpled the frame.

With a year or two of surgery and physical therapy, he would walk again.

"Babykilling asshole!" Lois spat in his direction as she walked out after him.

Torkovsky's partner made the mistake of aiming their gun at the pregnant reporter's face. Lois Lane's fist punched through his mouth. Teeth shattered against her skin. She actually looked him in the eyes as she slowly opened her hand...and his muffled scream filled the house.

The other cops on the raid quickly pulled back. They radioed to headquarters. Metahuman threat, send backup.
