After school

The school day had been mostly uneventful as Alexa told the cheerleaders that they’d be going to Michelle’s house. “Fine, whatever,” Megan said. “But you have to be there the entire time. It’s not Michelle who needs to host an event, it’s you.”

Alexa nodded and agreed to the circumstance. As she arrived home she told her mom about what was going on. “How come you don’t want them staying here?” Helen asked.

“I just would rather have Michelle supporting me,” Alexa said.

“Well, okay,” Helen said. “If you need me, just call me, okay?”

Alexa nodded as she packed her bag and then headed out the door. “And I can take the car now, right?”

“Actually I’ll need to drop you off,” Helen said. “Your car is still in the shop for maintenance.”

Alexa nodded as she climbed into the passenger seat while her mom drove her to Michelle’s house.
