Chapter 4 by Alostsoul Alostsoul

How is the meet up after school?

Emily isn’t as bad as you first thought

The rest of school was uneventful, just a bunch of standard academic work. After you put away your books and grabbed you back pack you started pushing through the mad rush of other students to leave school. As you looked around you spotted Emily sitting on one of the school benches. She sat blowing abubble of pink bubblegum while lazily scrolling thrill her phone. As you approached Emily put down her phone zipping it away in her school bag.

“So… you ready to go?” You asked tepidly

Emily sighed not answering, instead she dug through her bag and took a sip from a plastic water bottle.

“You want some?” She asked holding out the bottle to you.

“Umm no thanks I’m okay.”

“Suite yourself.” Emily said chucking the water bottle into a near by trash can.

Emily then stretched her arms, yawning before leaning back on the bench.

“I’m so tired, ahhhh practice was hard today.” Emily said stretching again.

She hung her head back over the bench before sitting back up and looking at you.

“You’re getting picked up right, you got a ride right?” She asked

“Umm actually I walk home from school.”

“Ughhhh so lame, I’m so worn out that my joints hurts.” Emily whined

“Come on I had a hard practice today and I’m tiredddddd.”

How the heck was that my fault? Is what you wanted to say. Instead what you was…

“I’m sorry I can’t really help you out there, but my house isn’t to far from school it’s like 5 minutes away.”

“Uh fineeee.” Emily said hoping off the bench.

The two of you then began the walk to your house. After about a minute of silence you decided it was best to try, and make conversation. After all you didn’t want Emily to think you were ignoring her.

“So you were practicing for cheerleading, is it hard work?” You asked

“Yeah, the coach makes us do a lot of push ups and sits ups and stuff like that on top of the normal cheer routines.”

“She says we need to not only know how to cheer but look good as well.” Emily continued on.

“She even makes us go on special diets and stuff so we stay slim, and fit says no one likes an ugly cheerleader.”

You felt a pang of sympathy hearing this. You didn’t think cheerleading had that much pressure. Sure you knew most of the cheer team were good looking, but you thought that was just a social predisposition. You had no idea that the couch was putting that kind of expectations on the members.

“I’m pretty sure she just want us looking good is because she likes looking at us, shes’s a lesbian you know.”

“She’s even slept with a few of the cheerleaders who are of age, oh and she has a habit of “accidentally”walking in on girls in the showers, or hanging around the changing rooms.”

“That’s um yeah, that’s pretty bad.” You said.

“Yeah honestly she’s such a perv, but no one really does any thing mostly because a lot of the cheerleaders swing the other way to. So for a lot them it’s like a fantasy, and on top of that the coach is really good looking, so it’s like double score for them if they swing that way.” Emily seemed to be venting now.

“Oh and the worst is when she interacts with the parents of the girls she sleeps with, she always puts in a good word about them. Like oh mrs. Smith your daughter is such a team player, and she is always works so hard!” Emily said in a sarcastic tone.

“Dang that’s got to be annoying.” You said

“It is!”

Emily sighed.

“Anyways do you have a sister named Sarah?”

“Yeah, why do you ask?” You said eyeballing Emily suspicious.

“Well I have a little brother who has a crush on your sister Sarah, so I was thinking you could maybe introduce her to him. Or maybe could you tell me some things your sister likes so my brother could try to impress her?” Emily asked

“Hmmm I’m not so su-.”

“Hold up I get you might not want some one dating your little sister but, I’m more so asking so my brother can gain a little experience with social interaction.”

“He’s been a bit of a shut in for reasons, but he needs to get out, be confident, talk to people, I just want to help him you know.” Emily looked kinda of upset as she explained the situation.

“I’m not even expecting them to go out or something I just want him to have enough confidence to at least talk to her.”

You were kind of surprised that Emily would be concerned about something like her little brothers social awkwardness. She definitely didn’t give you the vibe of a loving older sibling but, you guessed that just goes to show you can just a book by its cover.

“I’ll see what I can do, but I can’t really make any promises.” You said.

“Ok, thank you.” Emily said with a modest smile.

It seemed that you misjudged Emily, or at least she wasn’t quite the bitch the school rumors made her out to be. After about half a minute more of walking the two of you finally reached your house. Causal strolling up to the door you opened it and headed inside, as Emily followed behind.

Is any one else home?
