You hit.

Your years of combative training pay off and your foot hits it target hard. With a loud "ooff" you knock the wind out of the guard.

Yet he doesn't drop but stumbles backward, he is much tougher then you thought. Instinctively you lunge forward to press the attack but forget your chains. You nearly take your head off as your neck chain goes tight and throws you back on to the cot.

Coughing you stand but realize the guard is now out of range.

He tries his best to stand up and recover from your kick. To your surprise he has a smile on his face.

"Well played," he complements you, "you are truly the fighter the stories make you out to be. If you didn?t have that collar on it would have been on hell of a scrap."

"Save that energy for tomorrow brigand, you will need it," he states as you walks out and locks the cell door.

Though angered by your failed attempt you are impressed by his martial ardor.
