Mai has a suggestion...

Turning to me, Mai nodded her head. "Well...I'm sure we're of two minds in regards to what movie we want to see," she said, gesturing to Ty Lee. "I'm not one to sit through someone elses romantic moments nor do I want to waste my time as someone makes a poor attempt at making me laugh." That twinkle never left Mai's eye. She was up to something. It was hard to tell if you didn't look at the eyes. Her voice was as monotone as ever.

Blanching, Ty Lee shook her head. "But I don't wanna see a that!" she whined, pointing to the poster of the horror movie. "It'll scare me..." She had such a childish pout. It was hard to believe she was the same girl who had eagerly dragged me into the bathroom this morning. ...well, not "dragged" exactly... You get the idea.

"As I expected," Mai replied. "Which is why I suggest you and I see different movies. I'll watch the horror film, you can attend what you want to see." Mai looked to me. "...and John can decide which one he'll see." It was a less then subtle hint. Mai wanted me to see the movie with her. I had a feeling that it had less to do with the movie and more to do with having time with me in a dark room with Ty Lee in another. As I said, the movie only got decent reviews...so it wasn't likely to be crowded.

Ty Lee sputtered. "B...but we can't seperate!" she protested. "I'm a girl in a strange world! I need John...and you to keep me from doing anything dangerous!" Her pause in there was rather poorly covered up. A look of guilt appeared on Mai's face for a moment. While she heard the pause, she must have also realized that Ty Lee had a point. She wouldn't understand a thing around her. Leaving her alone could be very dangerous...
