“I can’t believe it’s been 5 years,” Akko said as she put on her black witch robes over a white shirt and red tie.
Diana smiled as she said. “You’ve come so far, it’s amazing. To think you went from some random brat to the savior of the world.”
“Hey! I wasn’t a brat,” Akko said.
“You… kind of were,” Diana laughed as she tightened her own blue tie. “Akko, you barely paid attention in class and acted like you were better than all of us.”
Akko blushed and looked down. “I guess…”
“But I suppose it’s that quality that made me somehow care for you,” Diana said.
“Are you sure it wasn’t the cupid bee?” Akko said, remembering the day she had to explain to Diana about the bee.
Diana blushed. “No… definitely not,” she said. “I don’t think I ever told you, but… I actually had feelings for you a lot sooner. I didn’t know what to make of it. I both hated you and loved you at the same time. You were annoying, but you had an unmatched drive.”
Akko looked curiously at Diana. “So… you really had feelings for me?”
“I was in denial, but yeah… I did,” Diana said as she turned to Akko and wrapped her arms around her neck. “And I still do.”
Akko smiled as she kissed Diana as she wrapped her arms around her waist. “So… are you ready for this reunion?”
“Definitely,” Diana said. “Now let’s get going or we’re going to be late.”
Akko nodded. “Okay, okay. Let’s head out.”
And with that the two headed out the door, hopping on their brooms as they flew off.
