A Quick Nap Amongst the Clouds

"Everyone hold hands," Ruby said taking Luke's and Shannon's hands.

Rebecca joined and completed the circle.

"This is going to be a lot of mana," Ruby mumbled.

Ruby wrinkled her nose and blinked her eyes in a nod. The 4 of them burst into flames.

The sorcerers were alarmed by the sudden fire. But just as suddenly the flames were gone. The group was now in an Arabian-styled bedroom. It reminded Luke of Queen Celestia's bed-chamber.

"Ruby, is this your room?" Luke asked looking around spotting pinks and reds.

"Yep, and dam that hurt," Ruby said holding her head.

"Give me a moment," Ruby whispered falling onto a giant pillow.

The three sorcerers looked to each other and back to Ruby. A moment later they heard her snoring.

"Well, now what?" Shannon said frowning.

"We, review our mission," Rebecca said pacing the room.

"What mission, you just wanted to talk to the Queen?" Shannon said falling into a pillow.

"We need help understanding and help controlling my new powers, ... also ... I guess Rebecca wants to make a wish," Luke said looking at Rebecca pacing.

"Oh really? She wants to learn a magical spell or two?" Shannon said with a smirk.

"I don't know," Luke said plopping down next to Shannon.

"I told her about the powers I got from wishing. And even about your powers from your wish. She seems indecisive on what to wish for given the chance," Luke whispered to Shannon.

"Well make sure she stays in her lane. I want to be the only Arcane Tailor in the coven." Shannon said loud enough to be heard.

"Don't worry, I am not interested in sowing," Rebecca said still pacing.

Luke smiled at that. He thought it was cute to see his olive skin brunette flustered. Usually, she was so calm and collected.

"How long do we wait here?" Shannon said looking at Ruby noisily sleeping.

"Let's give her 10 minutes," Luke said pulling out his phone.

"As long as we get back to the store before closing. Some of the ladies are expecting to stay over at Rebecca's mansion tonight," Shannon said resting her hands on her baby bump and closing her eyes.

"No worries, time seems to work the same in this place," Luke said looking around.

One window showed stars and the other sunlight.

"Well ... kind of," Luke whispered to himself.

A few minutes later Luke sat next to Ruby. He lifted her pink polo shirt up and started rubbing her pregnant middle.

"Hmm, Luke?" Ruby said cracking one eye.

"Ruby, we need to speak with Queen Celestia. Do you know how we can approach her from here?" Luke said pulling her shirt back down.

"Oh, and before we go. Should you change out of your human disguise?" Luke said getting up.

"No need. Mom will know its' me," Ruby said stretching.

"It feels so much nicer to be in the Land of Dreams," Ruby said flying up from her giant pillow.

The sorcerers watched as Ruby slowly floated down. Ruby's red hair glowing brightly.

"You can fly?" Rebecca said curiously.

"Of course, all Royal Jinn can fly. Especially in the Land of Dreams. Magical energy is a part of this reality. I wouldn't want to fly for long on Earth. That would be taxing," Ruby said before scratching her head.

"Dam, to think I suggested you disguise yourself to look like Elizabeth Olsen would actually be a perfect fit," Shannon said trying to stand from her pillow seat.

"What?" Ruby said turning to Shannon.

"You look just like the Scarlet Witch from the TV show," Shannon said still trying to get up.

"I don't get it," Ruby said looking to Luke.

"Forget it," Luke said patting Ruby's shoulder.

"And you, stop making pop culture references. You're just confusing her." Luke said offering a hand to Shannon still struggling.

"Fine, fine," Shannon said taking Luke's hand.

Luke pulled Shannon up. But as he did her belly bumped into him.

"Careful, I wouldn't want to hurt my black goddess, our her babies," Luke said patting Shannon's pregnant middle.

Shannon blushed at the attention.

"That was kind of cute. You struggling to get up." Luke said in a whisper.

"Shut up," Shannon said swatting Luke's arm.

"Enough of your flirting, we should get going," Rebecca said putting her hands on her hips.

"Sorry," Luke said stepping back.

"Ruby or should I say Princess Eversong, Please lead the way," Rebecca said walking to the door.

"Wait! It's this way," Ruby said pointing to the balcony.

The sorcerers looked to the balcony curtains and back to Ruby.

"Jinn Royals use windows as well as doors. I will approach my mother from her private balcony," Ruby said walking over to the large archway.

A rush of wind blew the curtains open to reveal a blue sky full of white clouds.

"This way," Ruby said walking to the railing.

The others followed and found themselves on the side of a tower. They were surrounded by other towers floating or connected by bridges.

"Dam, it's like a Magical Arabian Palace Mixed with the Grand Staircase from Harry Potter," Shannon shouted in amazement.

"Oh I hope we can ride a magic carpet just like Super Mario 64 Rainbow Ride," Shannon said grabbing the railing.

"What did I say about pop culture references," Luke said with a sigh.

"Here hold hands, my mother is just a few stories up," Ruby said taking Luke's hand.

"All this magic, it makes the Los Angeles Life Coven 'Breeding Day' machinations look small in comparison," Rebecca said taking Luke's hand.

"We are new to magic, let's not underestimate our enemies," Luke said looking up at the palace wall.

"I agree with Luke, besides this magical palace is impressive but would be impossible on Earth," Shannon said taking Ruby's and Rebecca's hands.

"This is true. Your reality doesn't have ambient magic like the Land of Dreams. Sorcerers and Warlocks must use Conception and **** respectively to bleed magic into your world. It is a little barbaric, but can be fun," Ruby said giving Luke a wink.

At that Ruby's hair burned bright red. The group started floating up into the air.
