Your friends finally managed to rent a basketball court in the school for a few hours, but the only time available was in the late morning. From time to time you gather together with your friends for a friendly game. It's a good way to get away from the girls and have some 'boy's time'. You were never really good at it, but you had good enough reflexes to not embarrass yourself.

"Wow! Someone's having a good day" your teammate teases you.

"We're destroying them! You should avoid sleeping before a game from now on." adds Tom

"I don't think sleeping less is the cause. You're not playing any better!"

"Ouch!"

It's the first time you play a game after you became a werewolf and it seems that you have a lot of advantages against humans now. You are faster and stronger, with better reflexes but what really makes the difference is the accuracy. You've never missed a shot at the beginning of the game so you started to miss on purpose or it would look weird. Sadly, even with you fucking up intentionally you are easily the best on the court, so even if you want to avoid attracting attention, you fail to do so.

When the bell rings, signaling that your time has ended, you know it's the last action so you dribble the ball with ease and set up Tom for a slam dunk, that he doesn't miss.

"This is bullshit!"

"We need to change the teams next time."

"Losers!"

"Loser my ass, this wasn't fair!" Your opponents complain while your team celebrates the win.

"Who made the teams? Are you dumb?"

"It's not my fault! I don't understand what happened!"

"Max! This is your fault, what the hell did you eat?"

"Haha, I think I got a bit too competitive. I just missed playing with you guys."

"Too bad we're graduating or you could have become a pro"

"Neah, it's just my lucky day." It seems that next time it will be a good idea to not try so hard. Sure, it's good to win but it attracts too much attention.

You quickly gather your stuff and leave the court for the shower, where they spot another change.

"Look at those muscles, you working out Max?

"A little..."

"Haha, is it because of Jenny?"

"I bet the rumors are true..."

"What rumors?"

"Jenny is building him a harem..."

"Bullshit!"

"That's not true!" you try to defend yourself but they are having way too much fun to stop.

"Yeah? What about Nicole? She's with Jenny all the time recently"

"She has a boyfriend! They are just friends!"

"I don't know about that... there's Anna, Erica, the goth girl... what's her name? Emy!" He goes on to name five more girls, some that you don't even know. To add to the fun the others start discussing possible candidates, even you get caught in their pace and point a few pretty girls that they've missed.

"Haha, that's my boy! Tom, be careful, he might just steal Leyla from you, haha"

Your face drops and your heart starts racing, guilt overcomes every fiber in your body. Luckily nobody spots the change and they continue with their banter.

"She's immune to his charm. He's been friend-zoned a long time ago"

They all laugh and pity you, that you've missed the queen bee. After the game, it's time to eat and drink so you find a nice place to spend a few more hours talking. Full of food and beer you get a cab home.

As long as Leyla keeps quiet things can keep being the same.
