Who Has An Upper Hand In The Battle?

Wonder Woman Has The Upper Hand

Lois Lane didn't see the clash. One moment Wonder Woman was there, and the next there was just a stream of violet light. The impact of the Amazon crashing into the demon was like a thunderclap, shaking dust from the ceiling. The crack of the air sent all the mere mortals in the room flying back from the point of impact, and Lois Lane was knocked on her ass.

Other sharp cracks followed, and flashes of light. Lois narrowed her eyes, in an attempt to see through the dust and glare...the two were locked in battle, like a mixed martial art competition if it involved bolts of violet energy and crackles of black lightning. Woman and Amazon grappled, Wonder Woman's hands gripping shoulder and forearm. The Star Sapphire ring flared in a protective aura as black lightning crackled from the demon's hands, the talons unable to penetrate the shield.

When the Amazon's leg hooked beneath the demon's knee, taking them both to the ground, it looked to Lois like Wonder Woman had the upper hand.

Which only left Lois and the cultists.

"Everybody out!" Lois shouted as she rolled back onto her feet. "Come on, it's dangerous in here!"

The berobed, befuddled cultists got the idea. Some of them even left their robes behind in the fight, naked bodies curshing against each other as they fought their way up the stairs towards the club. Lois hung back, helping a few limping people to get out of the way as Blaze and Wonder Woman rolled across the ground...over and over...limbs tangled...

A sudden suspicious thought hit the reporter, and she took a closer look.
