She needs her noms

Before any more conversation could take place a noticeable growl filled the room, all eyes turning to Ty Lee and her obviously growling stomach. Looking down at herself for a moment Ty Lee turned back to us with a sheepish smile, "Eh heh, it has been a while since I've eaten." Curiosity floated through my mind as I asked, "Exactly how long has it been since you've eaten?" Ty Lee blinked a bit, her face scrunching up in hard concentration before she smiled, "I'm guessing about three or four days!"

At this point Mai sighed, an exasperated sound if I had ever heard one from her, before she spoke, "John, can we get something for her to eat?" I nodded with a slight chuckle, the acrobats bubbly personality coming through even when she was half 'dead' from exhaustion and hunger. I left for the kitchen and listened at Mai started to ask Ty Lee questions, her quiet voice in direct contrast to Ty Lee's hyper and very loud voice. Searching through the fridge I found a few pieces of fruit I had cut up earlier in the week for easy eating so I figured that Ty Lee would enjoy them. Roughly I had about an entire watermelon and a few other things scattered within, more than enough to curb her hunger pangs. With the food in hand and fork in another, I brought them out to the rapidly speaking, and thus coughing, circus performer.

"Wow," Ty Lee said while looking around, this time taking a much more gradual time nursing her bottle of water, "So this is the future." I blinked in confusion, carefully handing the tub of fruit to Ty Lee with a raised eyebrow, "I take it Mai has already told you the situation?" Ty Lee nodded, looking down at the cold fruit with a drooling mouth and hungry eyes, "Yep, jump through time, this is the future, stuff is weird, I think I got it." Before I could ask another question, let alone hand Ty Lee the fork I had brought, she had already torn into the fruit, inhaling it in a way I had expected from Sokka with a prime cut of meat.

I stared for a few moments before turning to Mai, "So...this is Ty Lee?" Mai nodded, rolling her eyes out of annoyance but giving the apparently starving girl a small, almost unnoticeable smile. "Well Ty Lee," I said, scratching the back of my head from the awkwardness of the situation, "you seem to be taking this quite well..." Instantly Ty Lee with looking up at me, her mouth split with a wide toothed grin as she interrupted me, "Are you kidding? I LOVE new things and this is like the newest of the new! Brand new world, brand new time, it's incredible!" I could have sworn Ty Lee's eyes were shining, her excitement almost palatable as she scarfed down the last of the fruit...I was surprised that should could eat a whole watermelon in less than two minutes to be honest...

With a pleased sigh Ty Lee smiled at me, something that I felt was going to become a very common occurrence, "Thank you for the food and the water, I would've been a goner without it!" I chuckled nervously, glancing over at Mai as she smirked, "You get used to it...sort of."
