Sports...wait what?

Given Mai's personality I would have guessed she would choose some sort of drama or another, if I remember correctly that is what the Fire Nation group went to see on Ember Island so I figured that was her cup of tea. However, once again my expectations were met with total confusion, an almost overwhelming moment of shock coming over me as Mai stopped on an **** sports channel...and stayed there.

Glancing at Mai I could see both of her eyebrows were raised, interest evident in her expression as she calmly lay the remote down next to her side, "What is this?" Glancing at the screen I could see that the sport that was playing was BMX, bikes flying with people attached and tricks being performed in mid-air. "This is called BMX, people take bicycles and ride them up ramps, flying off and doing tricks," I said, earning a slightly confused stare from Mai, "Why?" Blinking several times I could only come up with a shrug, "I suppose that's how they like to spend their time."

Mai regarded my answer with a sigh, turning back to the television and resting her head on my shoulder. Despite my slight confusion I continued to watch with Mai, watching as some guys failed, some made it, and other just seemed to go. I felt asking a question might have broken Mai from her trance so I just sat back and watched, letting my hand gently stroke along Mai's side as I settled my free hand on one of her legs, simply holding her as she watched with rapt attention.

Soon enough they program changed to the massive jump that seemed to be the spectacle of all BMX shows, the huge hill in the middle of the arena that gave incredible air time and almost insane time to do flips. Glancing at Mai I found her interest to be even more involved, almost leaning forward as her golden eyes shimmered with interest. As the BMXer rode down the hill Mai's hand gripped onto my leg tighter, her muscles tensing as the man took off into a duo of back flips before landing safely on the other side.

With a somewhat shaky sigh Mai released her grip on my leg, her hand starting to stoke along my thigh as the next rider set up for their run...
