Taking some early steps

The next day she changed after work. She thought carefully about what to put on. She wanted some sex appeal but she realised that seducing him might have to be a slow process. She decided on some leggings and a T-shirt. Quite tame but the leggings clung to her legs and showed off her butt and thigh gap. She could usually guarantee a few good slaps on the bottom from Sean when she wore them. She headed down the corridor and knocked on the door. She was a little nervous herself.

Colin answered the door. He was in jeans and a better fitting T-shirt. Still far from stylish but by comparison to how she usually saw him, she could tell that he had made an effort. His eyes flicked down to look at her body but he caught himself and his eyes snapped to hers. “Hi, come in,” he said stiffly.

“Thanks,” she said and she followed him in. She was desperately curious to know what his place was like.

She looked around and had to conclude that, apart from not being particularly cosy, it was a pretty nice place. Everything was clean and tidy. The kitchen was well organised apart from the things that had been used to make dinner, the smell of which was rich and spicy. The living room was sparse, a small leather couch sat in front of a huge TV. In the corner was a computer desk with multiple screens. Two display cabinets were filled with statues of exaggerated looking women and there were a variety of nerdy posters on the wall, all of which had been framed.

Colin nervously showed her around. “It’s a cool place you have here. You can totally tell you are a guy but it’s spotless in here. Did you tidy up for me?”

“Not really,” said Colin. “I set a timer so I don’t sit still too long. I was getting back problems. I do forty-five minutes of work then fifteen of something else. It really has to be something standing up so I usually clean.”

“Wow, that’s really motivated of you.” She was genuinely impressed with the self-discipline. “I guess you have to be strict with yourself when you work from home.”

“Yeah,”

“Wow, look at these,” Chloe said, heading over to the cabinets. Colin followed her looking a little panicky. “They are so cool. Look at all the details. God, I wish I had tits like that.”

“Y-you like them?” He sounded genuinely surprised.

“Yeah. Don’t get me wrong. I am totally calling you out for being horny but I think they are pretty cool.” Colin stammered for a response but gave up and laughed nervously. Chloe laughed too. “What’s for dinner?” she asked.

“Lamb tagine and couscous. It’s one of my favourites,” said Colin with a hint of pride.

They went through to the kitchen and Chloe hung out as Colin did the last few bits. Once dinner was served he asked, “Would you like some wine?”

Sean didn’t drink much but Chloe enjoyed a drink. “Yes, please. You didn’t get this in especially did you?”

Colin shook his head. “No, I like wine but a bottle is usually a bit much for me so I don’t have it very often.”

The dinner and wine were excellent. Collin managed to carry on the conversation well and Chloe found herself having a pleasant time. She had no great plans for this evening. She just wanted Colin to get more comfortable with her. She didn’t push to stay afterwards. When the natural lull in proceeding occurred she said “Thank you, Colin, I’m going to head back. I’d like to get a workout in before bed. Dinner was wonderful.” She leaned in and kissed him on his round cheek that immediately turned bright red. She couldn’t help but glance down as she left and noticed he was pitching a tent in his jeans. Satisfied her job was done for the night she went home.

Another dinner a couple of nights later. This time she was the host. She put on the leggings again and had some music playing as she prepared the food. The door went and she answered it. Colin stood there looking nervous. She kissed his cheek again. She was going to make that a default greeting and farewell for them.

Colin flushed red and came in. “Can I help?” he asked.

“Nope, just plant your butt at the table. I’m almost done,” said Chloe in an upbeat tone. She was bopping and half-singing to the music. She caught a glimpse out of the corner of her eye at Colin who couldn’t take his eyes off her dancing behind. She smiled to herself and put a little more hip into her dance moves.

Unprompted, she opened a bottle of wine and poured some for Colin and some for herself. She served up the pasta and salad that she had made. Colin was very complimentary. Sean was complimentary too but it was nice having someone else praise her efforts and eat her food so enthusiastically.

Having observed Colin at dinner twice now she could tell his problem wasn’t diet as much as portion size. If he just toned down how much he ate he wouldn’t be as chubby as he was and might have more luck with women. Ironically he would soon have all the luck.

After dinner, the conversation flowed and things were a little more relaxed. “Shall I help you wash up?” Colin asked her.

“No, you did all of it last time. I’ll sort it.”

“It’s fine. I did it during my work breaks. If I have too little to do I sit down for too long and I regret it. I’d like to help.”

“If you insist.”

He seemed pleased to be useful. “I’ll wash, I don’t know where anything goes,” he said on his way to the sink.

She found it interesting. He seemed much happier when he had a purpose and they chatted happily as they stood side by side. Colin even made a joke and Chloe playfully bumped him with her hip. Colin then dried up. She suspected he had suddenly become self-conscious because she touched him. She decided that going forward she needed more casual contact.
