Does Chloe Find a Ring?
Chloe Finds No Ring — Tim is Single
Chloe's eyes went to Tim's left hand and came to find no ring on his ring finger. Chances were good that Tim wasn't married. So check-off one requirement on the list. But just because Tim didn't have a wife, didn't exactly mean he didn't have a girlfriend or even a fiancée. There was also the possibility he was actually gay. But Chloe was pretty sure he wasn't.
Getting an idea on Tim’s marital status was done. The next task would be finding out if he was in a relationship with someone. This was very important to Chloe. It would be a huge deal breaker if he was seeing someone else. She wouldn't consider being a serious relationship with him if that were the case.
If she were to date someone seriously, if she were to be someone's girlfriend, then he needed to be all hers. Chloe liked her men faithful. Sean may have given her his suggestion and consent to date someone else. Sean may have been the sharing type. But she didn’t and she wasn't. Chloe didn't need to worry however. She'll get Tim to talk soon enough. She could just ask him bluntly. But she could also take her time and slowly pry it out of him.
"So Tim, are you here with anyone?" she asked while her hand brushed her blonde hair behind her ear.
Tim responded as she had hoped, "Nope. Just me actually. What about you? You doing your groceries with someone?" He reciprocated her question. It was what Chloe wanted to hear.
The beautiful blonde smiled at him, "Oh you mean like a husband or boyfriend?"
"Not necessarily but sure. A friend or a family member works too."
Chloe just shrugged her shoulders, making her small boobs jingle a bit. "No, no, no." she repeated while shaking her head. "No boyfriend, no husband," She held back the laughter she wanted to let out, "no friend, no family. No one." On Tim's end, he gave her a look that said he didn't quite believe her.
"But hey, I could ask you the same thing. You look different from high school, Tim. You look great. I bet you've got a girl waiting for you back at your place." Chloe waited for his answer. She had actually gotten nervous after asking. Her heart was beating fast as she waited for his answer. His answer would decide if she would continue or if she should end this and find someone else.
"No girlfriend either, I admit. Not anymore anyway. We, um uh, broke up mid-way through college."
"Oh no. Are you doing fine?" Chloe asked out of genuine concern but also because she wasn't about to play second fiddle to some ex-girlfriend he still pined for.
But Tim just laugh, "Oh it's all good and dandy, Chloe. We broke up for mutual reasons. We felt like we both just had to focus on ourselves first."
"But do you miss her?" She asked sympathetically.
Tim waved his hands, "No, no. I haven't actually thought of her that much since we broke up. I haven't really dated anyone after that. I've just been focusing on myself, you know. Myself and my work." he said somberly. But it quickly changed to a happy tone, "But it's fine and I'm hopeful for my future." Chloe couldn't help but be affected by Tim's optimism. But now she was going to make her first move.
"Maybe I should start dating again," Tim said and it caught Chloe a little off guard. "Hey Chloe, there's this place that serves some real good coffee. You want to go there with me?"
His sudden proposition stunned Chloe for a brief second. But she quickly giggled to hide it. "My, oh my, someone sure is bold," she said a complimenting manner, "to suddenly ask out a woman you were just reunited with after so many years."
"Got to start somewhere and asking wouldn't hurt." He said with a grin. His face then grew a little serious, "Look Chloe, I know you and I weren't exactly that good of friends back then. I think I'd like to catch up with an old friend and make up for lost time."
Chloe's face grew soft, "You really are quite different from the introvert I remember." She let out a laugh, "Alright, you've convinced me." Tim's eyes lit up. She continued, "Let's get to know each other a little more then. Restart things between us and whatnot. Maybe we'll come out of it as better friends or maybe even something more."
"I'd like that," Tim said.
Chloe offered her hand and said a little playfully, "Chloe." Tim responded and shook her offered hand, "Tim."
The two exchanged contact numbers after that. "This little date of ours, Tim, is going to have to wait until after I bring my groceries home. That's not a problem, is it?"
Tim shrugged, "Not at all. I was actually going to say that myself."
"Good. Now here's my address." Chloe said afterwards.
"A little too soon, don't you think?" said Tim.
Chloe giggled, "Don't get ahead of yourself, tall guy. I live in an apartment complex. I gave you the address of the building but not my floor or apartment number. It's so you can pick me up later. It's your invitation to a place you know more than I do so you might as well be the one to pick me up and take me there. As well as give me a ride back. I'll call you when I'm almost ready to go. I've got to make myself look good for our date."
"You look good as you are now," Tim said as in a matter-of-fact manner.
"Flattery. That's going to help you a lot with me. Anyway, why don't we both finish what we originally came here to do." Tim nodded. Both Tim and Chloe turned around to go about their business before the latter quickly stopped and called to her fellow blond, "Oh and Tim?"
The blond man looked over his shoulder and saw Chloe with her hands on her waist. She said, "That place better be as good as you said it is."
Tim smirked at her and said confidently, "Oh don't worry it is."
When Tim was gone and no longer in earshot, Chloe took out her phone and gave Sean a call. "Hello, Sean... Yeah, I'm still at the grocery... Yes, I'll be home soon enough but I won't stay long though... Why, well it's because I, uh... you know what, I'll tell you when I get back home." She then hang up the call before Sean could say anything else. Chloe smiled wide. Oh she was looking forward to this.
