What's next?

Awkward Breakfest

"So just what are you? You seem way more advanced than anything I've seen." Mya asked as she threw a breakfast cup into the microwave. They finally had time to talk after walking around the place.

After having fixed the fingers, the two had started to explore the house. The place seemed to fit into a 'home of tomorrow' style; which meant a lot of chrome and white plastic. Jenny was probably still the most advanced thing in the house but there were a couple things that were also pretty high tech. Like the auto fitting closet that gave Mya a simple robe for now, tailor fitted to her. Felt pretty good on her skin and covered her up completely.Jenny had picked out simple yoga pants and just fixed her shirt so it wasn't tangled up around her boobs. Or at least what would be boobs on a robot.

The home seemed to be modeled more after Jenny's place the robot had explained as they walked around. It was three stories, with the master bedroom on the second floor along with a small rec room and work shop/office. Going upstairs just to check, showed a larger Rec room. Complete with a balcony and a hot tub. Another smaller bedroom was off in one corner, probably for guests. The kitchen and main living room were on the ground floor, with a larger workshop and a large foyer taking up most the floor space. Couple bath rooms and utility closets were scattered around the floors, like laundry and storage for blankets. Ground floor also had a garage with one car, two bikes, and plenty of tools and parts.

The last part of the house was a larger floor space in the basement that seemed to be the Main workshop. Or perhaps 'lab' might be a better term. Racks upon racks of parts and tools, a large mainframe linked to a bank of computers, several mechanical devices, and even a few… suspension tubes? They looked like some sort of tube pod but Mya didn’t know what it was. Jenny explained that it was some sort of holding/processing tank. Probably best to leave it alone for the time being.

This lead to the decision to go back to the kitchen as they both needed something to eat and refuel. It was fully stocked, with a large fridge, a number of cooking devices, several of them automated, and a fancy counter top to eat or use. A smaller fancier table was off to the side, for more formal dinners. The supplies in the room were made for the both of them, catering to human and robotic needs.

And thus Mya had asked her the question that Jenny was currently thinking about.

“What the skin, the eyes, the metal hair doesn’t tell you?” Jenny mocking asked as she pointed at her trade marked pointed pigtails, “I’m a robot of course.”

“Robots don’t talk where I’m from. And they don’t drink soda or…, Is that oil?” Mya asked, raising an eyebrow.

“There was a box of it with a card for me. Seems to be a ‘wedding’ gift to me from Cupid’s.” Jenny said, taking a long sip from her metal straw she’d put into the can. With a smack of her lips, she went on “It’s pretty good. A nice soothing but refined taste. Hmm I wonder if this how wine tastes."

“Your gift was a drink?” Mya asked, pinching the bridge of her nose with a sigh, “And you sure it’s a good idea to just randomly drink stuff? What happens if that infects you or gums up your system?”

“My scans didn’t show any problems with it. And the info card mentioned how it could empower my system. Sort of like an energy drink or protein sake.” Jenny explained, picked up the card to read again, out loud this time. "'Super charge the base processes of the drinker, leading them to have enhanced speed, strength, and stamina.' Is what it says. So it's just some sort of nanite boost to my system. Seems safe enough to both of us so why not just enjoy the taste." Jenny said with a shrug as she put the card back next to the pack of cans.

“Which leads me back to the question, what are you. Most robots I know don’t need energy drinks.” Mya said as she turned and got her food from the microwave. Someone had at least good taste in their microwave good selection, the freezer had a good stock of the cheap but filling stuff. She wasn't sure if it was based on wherever they were or choice picked items to appeal to her. Regardless she kept her attention on the robot more than thinking about food choices.

"Fiiiiiiiiine…..," Jenny whined and put her head down on the table for a second before taking a breath and sitting up straight. "I'm a Model 10 Synthoid. Technically, Mom would say XJ-9.10 as she didn’t think it reasonable to replace me, at least not just yet. So this means I use synthetic components and highly technical systems to... blah blah, now roughly speaking blah blah , and...,"

Mya stopped paying attention because of what the robot had said threw her for a loop. X-J9…, Jenny; that wasn't just a random name. She had heard of a cartoon with a character that had that name. It was some sort of robot teenager show about fitting in and finding herself. Well, she wasn’t a teen rocking a body like that. Mya's knowledge was limited as she’d only randomly watched the show, only long forgotten cliff notes in her mind. Just that it was a kid to teenager show that was innocent enough but this Jenny seemed to be a bit different and CLEARLY off model. How much of it was due to that Cupid site and how much of it was due to her life continuing after the show?

“Right so can you condense it for me?” Mya asked, trying to mask her inattentiveness as just not getting it. Last thing she wanted was to alert Jenny that she hadn't been paying attention while her thoughts were elsewhere.

“I’m a robot with Nano Shift skin, Nanite blood, Nanite production and reconstruction, with biofuel and solar conversion engine among others systems and subsystems. So, I’m pretty close to being human these day." Jenny held up an arm and seemed to pop the cover shell off, showing a couple cables and wires in the place of viens and nerves. "My system works more like blood and nerve endings just way more optimized and reinforced." Jenny said as she slid the cover back on.

"Also way easy to gear up for combat and rescue, thanks to the Nanite parts and a hard light generating matrix. I can rapidly construct make shift and temeory weapons and tools where as before I had to stuff a lot into my body..., well. Hehe." Jenny looked down at her body, "I suppose I do have way more room NOW for that but eh. Oh and I have fully functioning Wifi and I can run Doom." Jenny finished, waving her hand in a small circle.

“A graphics calculator can run Doom, that part isn’t special.” Mya muttered, shoving more of her food into her mouth. The warmth of the breakfast cup corsed through her body, giving her a nice buzz to help focus.

“Eternal, Dumbass.” Jenny said with a grin. She leaned forward as her pigtails turned into speakers and started to play the main theme of the game.

“Right so you have the processing power of a current graphics card…, can you do crypto I wonder?” Mya arched an eyebrow as Jenny kept grinning. It reminded Mya of someone who had 'won' something easily. “And what’s that look on your face for?” the human asked.

“Well, you know Doom. And Crypto now. So, your world isn’t that much different from mine, so we’ll be at least compatible in that regard. I’ll have to turn down the more… mechanical info though.” The robot said with a slight grin as she leaned back into her stool chair.

“Hmmm…” Mya grumbled. Her knowledge of the show was limited, but she recalled the show was very much a… ‘old fashioned view of the future’ style show. Something akin to Fallout, or the Jetsons. A very… 60s view of the tech today. Or maybe earlier, she really wasn’t a fan of high art or designs not related to mechanics so her knowledge of that area was limited, info gained from just randomly reading or hearing things.

But it seemed that the tech of Jenny's world had advanced after the show had ended. At the very least, it seemed like both worlds had produced similar results, just with some twists. While Jenny's world seems to have the same level of video games, listening to the Doom music that Jenny was playing it sounded more like… Swing. Rather than the expected heavy metal, the tune was a more Jazzy, slower take on the expected high impact loud song. So it had developed the same thing, just for their own sensibilities.

Crypto probably wasn’t some unheard of idea either, considering the idea of tech “Credit” probably went back a good way back. So it wasn’t a complete surprise Jenny knew about it. Hopefully this was a good sign so the two could actually talk at a reasonable level of...wait. “Did Jenny just insult me?” That realization brought Mya away from her thoughts.

“What do you mean turn down the mechanical Info? What are you getting at there, I’m a mechanic damn it!” Mya said, her face starting to flush with a growing frustration.

“….., really?” Jenny asked, her eyes rolling as she turned the music off and her hair returned to normal.

“The hell do you mean,’ Really’? Do you have a problem with me?” Mya cried, getting up and moving towards the robot.

Jenny’s eyes moved up and down Mya’s figure. She was pretty…. endowed for a mechanic. Way bigger than the Crust Cousins who were well known to throw their figures around. Attitude was about the same as Tiff, very confrontational just less catty, but she seemed to have the stubborn nature of Brit. Still, she was claiming to be a mechanic, riiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

"And I'm Miss Toaster Oven…, then again. Mya did put my hand back in order…, mostly." Jenny thought. She had to do some final readjustments herself but human came close. Well, there were a couple ways to figure this out. Perhaps a little push was in order. Jenny mentally sent a command to start processing an item, her internal systems rapidly forming her nanite reserves into the needed form.

“Well I mean, I hate to judge based on looks alone but you don’t look the part.” Jenny said, the middle of her back opening up and a mechanical arm started to emerge. It rotated a few times before spinning out to a large mirror and placed itself right before Mya.

The look on Mya’s face told Jenny to take a picture. Which she slyly did with one of her eyes. God bless all the lenses and filters she had some days. This one was going in the scrapbook folder.

Mya wasn’t a small girl at all. She got that from her mom, good genes from her dad, and a healthy active life of hard work does that. What was reflected in that mirror was something different. Her breast size seemed to have gone up a cup, and her butt was more noticeable giving her a fuller figure. Tt was the muscles that really drew her attention. She was far more toned than before and it was a fairly even foundation of muscles rather than just the built up arms she had before. Mya opened the robe for a better look and was met with a flatter toned core, as if she'd been doing sit ups for years. Mya had been starting to get a little pudgy there; greasy poor food starting to win out but that extra fat had vanished, or at least moved to her firm boobs and thighs.

She hadn’t changed drastically, but it was clearly notable to her. Like someone took a sandblaster and blew away the imperfections, while shoring up what was already there. Though she wasn’t a fan of the longer hair, which went down to about her middle back now. Besides that though, she just looked like a more 'peak' version of herself.

https://danbooru.donmai.us/posts/1782797?q=rhemora Decent idea of what she's working with now.

“What the hell..,” she muttered, thinking it a trick or prank done by the robot. Some way of getting back for the fingers. The feeling of her fingers on her boobs and thighs though told her that no it wasn't a trick. This was indeed her new body. Her eyes widened as what happened sunk in.

“You look more like one of those girls that pose on cars, or in bikinis with boots on race tracks.” Jenny said, mentality noting her mom probably would have killed her if Jenny herself wore something like that, “But given you’re reaction…, guessing this wasn’t…”

“Normal? No no, Well… I look polished if anything.” Mya muttered, hefting her chest with her hands before feeling a few other places. It was all real, a steady mix of softness with the right amount of firmness just under it.

“This might have something to do with optimizing that the message from before mentioned.” Jenny simply stated, taking another long sip on her drink, "Probably why my own body is a bit more... upgraded than usual."

“Yeah well with how it talked, it sounded more like ‘optimizing’ for sex than anything else.” Mya pulled her robe closed and sat down, giving a look towards Jenny, “Cause unless you want to admit some things….”

“Hmm, Cafgh, hack, Wait what no!” Jenny had to cough out a response due to being mid sip when she processed it, “Agh no... um.. but I’ll be honest in my normal state and even my older body, I’d snap a normal human in half. They probably edited you to match my more active heroic lifestyle. More muscle to help me out and... more 'upgrades' to handle me.”

“That is…,” Jenny continued with a grin and a wag of her eyebrows, “You have something YOU want to admit.”

“Don’t toy with me girl, I warped those fingers I can do it again!” Mya shot up and pointed a finger at the robot, before sitting back down with a sigh, “Look this ain’t helping. We can trade jabs about me looking like this and you looking you’re from a mecha pin up calendar but that’s not gonna get us anywhere.”

“That is something I can agree to.” Jenny said, not realizing the light blush she had from being compared to a pin up girl, “So what are you…”

“Marriage is out. I don’t want it, wouldn’t mind some stuff here, but not getting randomly tied down for it. So how about we actually start working together?” Mya said, bring up a hand to offer a shake, “The deal is; we brainstorm a way out of this or a way home. You use your techy nature to help and…” Mya seemed at a loss for words of what she’d offer.

“Didn’t think that one fully through huh.” Jenny said with a smirk as she crunched the can and made a perfect shot into the recycling bin. She then turned back and gave a brief sigh, "Look I could.... maybe use some help in self maintenance. And while you seem.... okay.., not interested in marriage myself. Least not yet. So what does that make us?" Jenny said cocking her head to the side.

".....**** roommates?" Mya said with a shrug.

"You use up all the hot water, and you cook dinner." Jenny quipped with a smirk.

"And if you track grease inside onto the nice furniture, you're paying for clean up." Mya shot back with a grin.

"Oh SURE, the robot is gonna be the one to track grease inside. I see how it is." Jenny replied, jokingly throwing up her hands.

"Listen here you..."

And so the two started to trade jokes and shots at each other. Nothing serious just a way of letting off steam from the events that placed them there. In a way, it was a method to get to know their new roommate anyway.
