Chapter 6 by Machrider Machrider

What could fate have instore for Texas now....

Down....but not out yet!

No. She wouldn't go down like this, not while she still had fight left in her. Texas REFUSED to just lose. That man took her dignity, her deputy, and not to mention the one thing she cherished the most in her whole career; her DAMN HAT! That hat was beyond just a hat to her, it was a symbol to everything she stood for, a piece of her she couldn't let go of! Feeling the fire in her stomach ignite, Texas regained her second wind, tucking her snout into her shirt and breathing in deep of what clean air she could (even though she had some pretty bad B.O. from all this sweating she'd gone through). Taking note of the twins playing their card game still, letting loose casual farts into both Texas's and April's cells still, Texas looked around to spot anything of note that could get her loose of this rope she was ensnared by. It was a decent knot, but nothing that couldn't get cut through. and low and behold, someone clumsily left a knife in the far corner of the cell. Slinking over and putting it between her hands, Texas sat there, carefully cutting through her ropes as she watched the twins play their game.

"I still don't understand why in the Sam Hill we're just sitting here on our behinds, when we can just take these two for ourselves and skedaddle. Like, who's that guy think he is given US orders!" Jesse declared as she blasted a rather wet and sloppy sounding gush of gas directly at April's cell, as the deputy continued to moan and groan from awful smell that lingered throughout the air. While her sister Jane reminded her exactly whom Vlad was. "Only the deadliest marksmen in the damn west ya idiot! You saw what he did to his own men when he came to us! Three guys, two bullets Jesse. We. Ain't. Risken it! Now shut up and deal up already would ya!"

"Sounds like you two's afraid of'em~" The twins fell silent for a moment, only to glare right at Texas. The smug look over the sheriff's face reignited that fierce anger the two felt for her just as when she woke up. Kicking their stools away and standing before Texas once more, the two pigs looked down at Texas and snarled at her.

"What'dyou say ya varmint!? We ain't scared'a nuttin Tex! NUTTIN! We just ain't dumb enough to risk our lives like that!" Jesse Banged her arm against the steel bars and huffed, her deep breathing clearly visible now as her body started heating up from the pent up aggression she was holding back all this time. "Yea, so you'd better watch it Tex! Less you wanna get completely flattened! And you KNOW we'll flatten you up reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeal good~"

"All talk and no bark I'm afraid girls. If you REALLY meant that, then you wouldn't be on the other side of this cell now would you? Face it you two; Vlad scares the botha ya. That's why I'm not between either of you's asscheeks righta bout now, isn't it~?"

Jesse was on the verge of practically breaking the steel bars now, her muscles tightening as she looked at that damn Weasels smug face, it infuriated her! And NO ONE makes Jesse mad! Sticking her head through the bars, Jesse brought herself right down to Texas, as she told the Sheriff right to her face.

"Is that a challenge, Texas? You think I ain't got the GUTS to come in there, flattened you like the fart rag you are and run off!? IS THAT WHAT YA THINK!?" Jane was actually getting a little startled by how angry her sister was getting, taking a step back as she watched her get right in Texas's face like that. What really spooked her however was just how calm Texas was. She was practically unfazed by all the aggression! Just what in the hell was this Sheriff doin provoking Jesse like this!

"Its not what I think Jesse....it's what I KNOW"

Screaming at the top of her lungs, Jesse had had enough of Texas's cocky attitude. This Sheriff had to PAY. Taking the key out of her pocket and unlocking the cell door, Jesse stepped forward into Texas's cell, snarling and kicking the dirt from underneath her boot as she prepared to charge straight for Texas, her breath heaving as she was ready to pounce! "Any last words before you go to the big sheriff's office in the sky, Tex? BETTER MAKE'EM COUNT!" Jesse practically roared as she leaped right for Texas now, her large body practically flew through the air as she planned on belly flopping right on top of the stupid sheriff and putting an end to that smug look of hers. But just as she thought she had Tex finally beat...

"I do have some words for ya Jesse....You really are the dumb one~" Texas laughed as she leaped right for Jesse, her arms and legs free at last, catching the pig off guard! Managing to lift herself past Jesse and hop over her large body, Texas grabbed ahold of doorway to her cell, lifting both of her legs up and slamming her boots straight into Jane's chest, knocking the wind out of her and kicking her over the table the twins were once using!

"HOW IN TH-HOW!! HOW DID YOU GET FREE!" Jesse shouted and yelled as she picked herself up and charged back for Texas, only for the cell door to slam right in her face, leaving her to collapse right in front of the Sheriff, groaning in defeat. "Easy, cause I ain't dumb like you two nitwits!"

Feeling victorious as ever, Texas planted both her arms around her waist and grinned smugly, ready to break April free and bring that Vlad to justice! However...no story truly goes that smoothly.

"Oh, so you think you're thaaaat much smarter than us, huh?" Turning around to see Jane slowly getting herself back up, Texas put both her arms up, ready to throw down with the one sister. "Give it up Jane, you're already out of breath and lost your other half! Don't make me humiliate you harder!" However, Texas's words didn't phase the pig. Instead, Jane just smiled. Smiled and laughed.

"Heh....hehehehe~ I'll give you two choices Tex~" Slamming her arm against the side of the wall and hitting an alarm of sort, the entire cave system was filled with a loud, blaring ringing! "You run off now...or you pick a fight you know you ain't gonna win~"

"That'a girl! way to show that Sheriff who the real smart ass's are Jane!" Dammit, they had this alarm set in case either of them broke out! And with no time to spare, options were far and few from one another. Texas really was stuck with two of the hardest choices of all. Stay and fight and pray she can save April in the process...or go, and leave her with the twins.

"Times a ticking Tex~ Here, I'll help you out a little. You have our word that we won't go too far with your precious deputy~ Better act fast though, I think I hear some foosteps a'comin~"

Her heart pounding and her mind racing, Texas was left puzzled with what to do. She needed to act now or all of this would be for nothing!

Everyone has to make tough decisions in their lives, including Sheriffs...
