Annita lies for Dana's sake

Annita let out a deep breath. This was in no way what she expected to be doing here. For anyone else, she probably would've said no.

"Yes, I'm her girlfriend." Annita answered and watched Dana's mother shift her gaze over to her daughter. Staring for just a couple moments, a smile formed on her face. Then it's right back over to Annita. That had honestly gone over far better than either woman had expected it too. Had this been what she wanted? Entirely possible.

"I'm so proud of you, Dana!" her mother announced and reached out to Annita's hand. Giving it a shake, the elderly lady's cheeks turned pink.

"Of course. She compliments me perfectly." Annita answered and watched Dana's gaze shift over to her. None of this was how she intended to have this conversation. Not in the slightest.

"Do you want to tell my mom about yourself, Annita?" Dana called out and Annita froze. Just her luck.
